Flight has to be built into the specific game, and its creator decides how it works and whether it requires an ability, vehicle, tool, or other in-game access. Check that experience’s Help menu, description, or tutorial for its controls.
Why one Roblox flight command does not work everywhere
Roblox experiences can define their own actions and controls. Roblox’s input documentation describes supported input types and ordinary default movement; it does not document a platform-wide flight command. If an experience has no flight feature, pressing a different key or changing devices will not add one.
Even when flight is supported, find out what actually flies: your avatar, a vehicle, or only the camera. Also check whether the feature is available immediately or requires an in-game item or progression. Those details vary by experience.
How to find the flight controls in a specific experience
- Open the experience’s Help menu. Roblox says the in-experience menu can show how to perform actions, and the available settings and controls depend on what the creator enabled. Look for a Help, Controls, or tutorial prompt.
- Check the experience description and on-screen prompts. Look for an explanation of whether flight is supported, what can fly, and any required ability, vehicle, or item.
- Follow the instructions for your device. Roblox supports keyboard and mouse, touch, gamepads, and VR, but ordinary default movement does not itself provide flight. Use the prompts or help for the experience you are playing.
- If no flight instructions appear, ask in the experience’s community or check its official creator information. Do not assume a familiar key from another Roblox game will work here.
Why controls from another Roblox game may not work
Controls are experience-specific. For example, the Roblox listing for Turbulence describes aircraft controls: Shift increases speed, Ctrl decreases speed, and W/A/S/D/Q/E maneuver the aircraft. Those are instructions for that experience, not universal Roblox flight controls. See the Turbulence listing for its own details.

Free camera is not character flight
Roblox’s free camera mode detaches the camera; it does not make a player’s avatar fly. In a live experience, the feature is for owners and editors, and the live-client toggle is Left Shift + P. It is also available for Studio playtesting. It is not a general player flight command.
Why to avoid flight exploits and modified apps
Do not download scripts, executors, or modified Roblox apps that claim to let you fly anywhere. Roblox says exploiting or cheating violates its Terms of Use and can result in account deletion; it also warns that exploit downloads may contain malware or phishing attempts.
