The clearest early route to Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a grassy courtyard in Vert Sector 9, above Wild Zone 1. First advance Main Mission 5 until Emma introduces Side Missions, then travel to the Pokémon Research Lab and follow Vernal Avenue to the courtyard.

Reach the Vert Sector 9 courtyard

  1. Progress Main Mission 5, “The City in the Shadow of Prism Tower.” Continue until Emma introduces Side Missions. This is the story gate for the courtyard route reported by Nintendo Life.
  2. Fast-travel to the Pokémon Research Lab near Wild Zone 1.
  3. Follow Vernal Avenue past the Hair Salon. Turn right, then turn right again to enter the courtyard marked Vert Sector 9.
  4. Go down the steps and cross the bridge. Look for Eevee in the grassy patch.

How to approach and catch Eevee

Eevee may flee if it notices you or if you make too many risky throws. Nintendo Life recommends engaging it in battle, lowering its health, then throwing a Poké Ball when it is stunned at the end of the battle. Nintendo’s general wild-Pokémon advice is to stay hidden or crouch as you approach to gain an advantage; see its 12 tips and tricks for Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How the early routes compare

Route Access and directions What to watch for
Vert Sector 9 courtyard Available after the Main Mission 5 point when Emma introduces Side Missions. The route from the Research Lab is described step by step by Nintendo Life. The guide reports Eevee in the grassy patch and warns it can flee if alerted.
Bleu Sector rooftops GameSpot places Eevee on triple scaffolding in southern Lumiose near Bleu Sector 7 and Nouveau Cafe Truck No. 2. Siliconera instead describes scaffolding by the Pokémon Center building series near Nouveau Cafe Truck No. 7. The guides’ truck landmarks do not match, so treat this as an alternate report rather than a single precisely confirmed landmark. Siliconera reports seeing an Eevee at least level 15 and warns it can fall into a gap if approached or targeted from the wrong angle. See GameSpot and Siliconera.

The courtyard is the more straightforward choice if you want clear directions and a stated story gate. The rooftop encounter is a possible alternative, but its landmark descriptions vary and the positioning is less forgiving.

What if you miss Eevee early?

Wild Zone 19 is a later option, not an early-game route. Nintendo Life describes it as available near the end of the game; GameSpot also says the zone is campaign-gated and reports at least one Eevee there per day-night cycle or transition. Those are guide-reported details, not an official spawn listing.
