Is Cronus Zen allowed in Fortnite?
No. Epic’s Restricted Hardware Warning guidance says hardware that provides, or is intended to provide, a competitive advantage is not allowed, and explicitly names Cronus Zen and Cronus Max. What penalties does Epic describe for cheating?

Epic also described additional consequences for tournament participants who cheat: a one-year matchmaking ban, an immediate lifetime tournament ban, and possible loss of past tournament winnings. These are policy statements in that dated update, not a prediction of the outcome in any individual account case. The support warning and the anti-cheat update describe related but distinct enforcement contexts; neither says that every detected warning automatically leads to the same sanction.
What should you do after a Restricted Hardware Warning?
- Remove Cronus Zen or other restricted hardware from the setup.
- Restart Fortnite, as Epic’s support guidance instructs, to continue playing.

What about accessibility hardware?
Epic distinguishes competitive-advantage hardware from accessibility support. Its guidance names the Xbox Accessibility Controller and its accessories, and 3dRudder, as devices it supports. It also points players to Fortnite’s customizable in-game settings for adapting gameplay without an unfair advantage. Those examples do not establish that every unlisted adapter or configuration is approved; check with Epic if you are unsure about a specific setup.

What Epic said about Cronus scripts
Epic’s February 27, 2025 update said that, following legal action, the Cronus device makers had removed Fortnite and Rocket League gamepacks and scripts from their website. That is a statement about the situation described in the dated update, not confirmation of current availability across other sites or platforms.
