No. Buying Minecraft on Android or iOS does not grant a Windows PC license. Mobile and PC are sold through separate storefronts, so you need a PC purchase to play the full game on Windows unless you already own it there. You can check your PC entitlement in the Minecraft Launcher or Microsoft Store, or use the limited free trial on supported devices.
Does a mobile purchase transfer to Windows PC?
No. Minecraft is available on mobile and Windows, but a purchase on one platform does not automatically include the game on another. Minecraft lists iOS through the Apple App Store, Android through Google Play, Amazon phones and tablets through the Amazon Appstore, and Windows PC through minecraft.net. See Minecraft’s platform and edition list.
Signing into the same Microsoft account on your phone and PC, or seeing Marketplace content sync, is not proof that you own the PC game. A game license and account-linked Marketplace content are separate from the question of whether your account owns Minecraft for Windows.
What does Minecraft include on PC?
The PC product is Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC. Minecraft Help says the bundle was released on June 7, 2022. Owning one of the two PC editions entitles you to the other as part of that PC bundle; this does not make a mobile purchase a PC license. Details are in Minecraft’s PC ownership guide and its Java or Bedrock overview.

How to check whether you already own Minecraft on PC
- Open the Minecraft Launcher or Microsoft Store on your Windows PC.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy Minecraft for PC.
- Check the game’s button. Play or Install means that account owns the version; Buy Now means it does not show ownership on that account.
If you bought the PC version previously, use the purchasing Microsoft account to reinstall it through the launcher. If you see Buy Now but believe you paid for the PC game, first check that you are signed into the correct Microsoft account. A mobile purchase alone will not change that result.
Can you try Bedrock for free?
Minecraft offers a limited Bedrock free trial for Windows 10/11, PlayStation, and Android. The official trial page describes approximately 100 minutes of in-game time, focused on the core Survival experience; online multiplayer servers are disabled. Availability and access are limited to the platforms listed on Minecraft’s free-trial page. This is a trial, not a way to convert a mobile license into a permanent PC copy.
