What is the Witcher IV-inspired Ciri appearance?
Nexus Mods lists a mod called Witcher 4 inspired Ciri Appearance by Rev3nuss. The listing’s indexed details give an upload date of February 1, 2025, and an update date of February 11, 2025. Those details establish that a fan-made appearance mod was listed; they do not establish exactly which parts of Ciri’s appearance it changes, how to install it, or which versions of the game it supports. Check the current Nexus Mods listing for the author’s instructions and compatibility information.
CD PROJEKT RED has not announced this mod as official content. The studio did make Ciri the protagonist of The Witcher IV, which it revealed in December 2024 as the beginning of a new Witcher saga and a successor to The Witcher 3. The studio’s announcement says the reveal cinematic was rendered in a custom build of Unreal Engine 5 using game assets and models, and created with Platige Image. The official Witcher site also describes the game as a single-player open-world RPG starring Ciri.
Why Ciri can look different between Witcher IV footage
After viewers questioned changes in Ciri’s appearance in behind-the-scenes footage, game director Sebastian Kalemba said the footage used the same in-game model as the original trailer and that it had not been modified. As reported by GameSpot, Kalemba attributed the difference viewers perceived to the raw footage lacking facial animation, lighting, and virtual-camera lenses, and described it as a work-in-progress snapshot. That explanation concerns the official footage; it does not verify the appearance or fidelity of any Witcher 3 mod.

What the Witcher IV tech demo does—and does not—show
CD PROJEKT RED’s June 2025 Unreal Engine 5 tech demo showed Ciri in a monster-contract scenario, but the studio explicitly said it was not gameplay from The Witcher IV. In a PlayStation.Blog post, Kalemba called it a tech demo and said the team incorporated the studio’s storytelling into the showcase. It is evidence of a technology demonstration, not confirmation of final gameplay or Ciri’s final appearance in the finished game.
Does the mod work with The Witcher 3 Remastered or on consoles?
That is not established by the available listing details. CD PROJEKT RED says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered released September 29, 2026, with mod.io-based cross-platform mod support on consoles. That is general platform support, not confirmation that Rev3nuss’s specific mod has been adapted for Remastered or made available through a console mod channel. The studio advises readers only indirectly through its description of the system; check the Remastered announcement and the mod author’s current page for the relevant platform and version details.

Before installing, confirm these details on the author’s page:
- Which game version and platform the files support.
- Whether the mod changes Ciri’s face, hairstyle, eyes, outfit, or another element.
- Whether it requires additional files or downloadable content.
- The author’s installation and removal instructions.
- For console play, whether the mod is actually available through the platform’s supported mod channel.
A Remastered game purchase does not include this community-made mod. Nor does the existence of console mod support establish that this individual mod is available on consoles.

How Witcher IV’s Ciri fits the story
In a December 2024 Xbox Wire interview, narrative director Philipp Weber said The Witcher IV takes place a few years after The Witcher 3. The interview describes Ciri as older and stronger and says her mutated eyes indicate she completed the Trial of the Grasses. It did not disclose how she reached that point, so those comments provide context for the new version of Ciri rather than a full account of the game’s plot.
