Its creator announced that the mod would no longer work with those game versions after Rocket League introduced Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). The announcement does not provide a supported workaround or launch steps for older versions.
Why BakkesMod won’t open in current Rocket League versions
On April 28, 2026, BakkesMod creator Bakkes announced that the mod would not work with Rocket League game versions released that day or later, attributing the end of active updates to the introduction of Easy Anti-Cheat. In the announcement, Bakkes wrote: “This means that BakkesMod will not work on game versions released on April 28th and later.” Read the announcement on BakkesMod’s blog.
That means generic advice to start BakkesMod and then launch Rocket League—or to inject the mod into the game—is not a current solution for affected versions. The announcement establishes incompatibility, not a sequence of steps that can make the mod run.
What about older Rocket League versions?
The announcement says older BakkesMod versions remain available on GitHub, but it does not explain how to install or open them, confirm which older Rocket League versions they work with, or establish that they work with current releases. Availability of an older mod build is not evidence that it is compatible with the Rocket League version you play now.
