Does Breath of the Wild work on PS5 without jailbreaking?

What does the PS5 emulation report actually establish?

That report describes an unofficial demonstration on a modified console. It does not establish a regular PS5 setup, a supported Sony or Nintendo release, or whether the result is reliable and available to other users. Keep these questions separate: official platform support is clear, the reported demonstration is not independently established here as a reproducible setup, and legality depends on the conduct and jurisdiction.

There is no universal legal answer in the platform materials. Nintendo’s US support FAQ says downloading and uploading pirate copies of Nintendo games is illegal. It also says some unauthorized emulators circumvent security measures, while describing emulator software generally as software that lets software run on a device it was not originally made for. Whether a particular emulator, console modification, game copy, or method of obtaining it is lawful depends on local law and the specific facts. The cited company policies are relevant restrictions and warnings, but they do not settle every legal question for every user.
