No—not through the free trial announced for Black Ops 6 in 2025. Activision’s weeklong trial ran from October 9 to October 16, 2025, and has ended. As of October 5, 2026, the official sources cited here do not establish a new free-access offer.
Is the Black Ops 6 free trial still available?
No. Activision announced a trial running from October 9, 2025, at 9 AM PT until October 16, 2025, at 10 AM PT. Those dates have passed; the announcement does not establish that the game is currently free to play. Activision’s Season 06 announcement is the source for that event and its terms.

That answers the headline’s “without Game Pass” question only for the past promotion: it was a time-limited trial, not an ongoing way to access the game without a subscription. The available official announcements do not establish a new October 2026 free-access window or comprehensive current subscription requirements for every platform. Check for a dated announcement from Activision or the relevant platform store before relying on a new offer.
What did the 2025 trial include?
Activision said the trial offered access to Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, but excluded Ranked Play. Its announcement described more than 40 Multiplayer maps and all six Zombies maps as available during the event. Those details describe the 2025 trial, not current access.

How was the Xbox Game Pass offer different?
Xbox Wire listed a separate Black Ops 6 Free Play Days event for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members from October 9 through October 12, 2025. It also referred to the separate October 9–16 trial for Game Pass members. These were distinct, dated offers; the Xbox event was specifically for eligible Game Pass members and does not show that a current no-subscription offer exists. See Xbox Wire’s Free Play Days announcement.
Which platforms were listed?
Activision lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC storefronts for Black Ops 6 on its editions page. That platform list is not a complete statement of platform-by-platform eligibility for the past free trial, and it does not indicate that the game is free now.

How can you play after the trial?

Activision’s editions page identifies supported editions, but current prices, store availability, and subscription catalogs can change.
