The original trilogy
Xbox One backward compatibility applies to selected Xbox 360 and original Xbox games, not every title from those systems. Xbox describes the program as allowing players to play “select Xbox 360 and Original Xbox games” on Xbox One. That general policy does not establish compatibility for any specific Streets of Rage game. Check Xbox’s backward-compatibility information and look for an official listing for the exact game before assuming it works.
Streets of Rage 4 builds on the classic trilogy, and Xbox’s launch announcement notes that players can unlock pixel versions of characters from earlier games. Those characters are not the complete original games.
