No—plan on needing an internet connection to play Zenless Zone Zero. The PlayStation Store explicitly says the PS5 version requires online play. HoYoverse’s official sources reviewed here do not confirm an offline mode for PC, Android, or iOS, so players on those platforms should not count on being able to play without service either.

This distinction matters: the PS5 requirement is explicit, while the available official information does not provide a platform-by-platform offline-mode matrix for PC and mobile.
What happens if your connection drops mid-session?
HoYoverse’s reviewed material does not specify an offline grace period, whether a session can continue after service is lost, or which activities—if any—remain accessible. For travel, outages, or places without Wi-Fi or mobile data, assume you will need a working connection rather than relying on a downloaded game to keep running.
Account syncing does not mean offline play
HoYoverse says devices using the same server can sync game data, while different servers cannot exchange account data. A linked HoYoverse ID can support progress across PS5, PC, and mobile when the account and server conditions match. Pre-downloading an update is not an offline mode
HoYoverse’s February 4, 2026 Version 2.6 notice describes pre-download and update procedures for PC, mobile, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It says PC players could continue playing during pre-download, while mobile players could not.
