One Google Account can manage up to 100 YouTube channels, so you can run two separate internet radio channels under one login. To broadcast both at the same time, set up a live stream for each channel and make sure each channel meets YouTube’s livestreaming requirements. The channel switcher selects one channel identity at a time; it does not combine the channels or control both broadcasts at once.
How two channels under one Google Account work
YouTube allows one Google Account to manage up to 100 channels. Each channel retains its own public identity and live events. You sign in with the same Google Account, then switch to the channel you want to manage in YouTube. YouTube says you can use only one channel at a time in its interface, so check the channel name and avatar before creating or scheduling a broadcast.
YouTube’s channel-switching instructions explain how to select among channels managed by the signed-in account. The channel limit and switching behavior are account-management details; each channel still needs its own stream setup.
Choose the right kind of second channel
Personal channel
A personal channel is associated with your Google Account identity. It can suit a station that does not need a separate public name or shared management.

Brand Account channel
A Brand Account can be useful when the second radio station needs a different public name or multiple people need to manage it. YouTube’s channel-management guidance describes personal and Brand Account management, and its channel-creation steps cover creating a channel through that flow.
Set up each channel for livestreaming
- Create the second channel: use YouTube’s channel-management or channel-creation flow while signed in to the Google Account that will manage both stations. Choose a Brand Account if you want a distinct public name or shared managers.
- Switch to the intended channel: use the account/channel switcher, then confirm the channel name and avatar in YouTube Studio before creating or scheduling its stream. Repeat for the other channel.
- Confirm livestream eligibility for both: each channel must be verified and have no livestreaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube states that livestreamers must be at least 16 years old. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and encoder setup instructions.
- Create a separate live event for each station: use a software encoder, standalone hardware encoder, or cloud encoder to send each channel its intended audio and video. Check the selected channel and its stream settings before going live.
- Stay within YouTube’s documented limits: YouTube lists up to 10 active streams per channel and up to 3 active streams per stream key. These are separate limits, not a guarantee of account-level network capacity or encoder performance.
For workflows that send streams to multiple destinations, YouTube describes local and cloud encoder approaches in its multi-platform streaming guidance. That is a routing choice, not a prerequisite for having two channels under one login. Your own computer, encoder, and internet connection still need enough capacity for the streams you operate locally.

Sort out music rights before broadcasting
Having two channels does not grant either one permission to play recordings. You need the necessary rights for the recordings, compositions, territories, and live-stream use on each channel. YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content; a match can interrupt or terminate a broadcast.
If a rights holder has licensed music for live use, ask whether the channel must be allowlisted in Content ID. YouTube notes that a license by itself may not prevent an interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. Its detailed guidance is in Copyright issues with live streams and the livestream terms and conditions. Do not assume Creator Music covers a live radio stream: YouTube says Creator Music does not currently support licensing for live content in its Creator Music FAQ.
