Roblox’s documented options are to change it while signed in or reset it if you’ve forgotten it. If you need access to the account, use the official recovery process to create a new password.
Can Roblox show you your current password?
Roblox’s published account instructions explain how to change a password and how to reset a forgotten one; they do not document a way to reveal the password currently on the account. Roblox says that if you can’t remember it, you need to reset it and create a new one using Account Recovery. See Roblox Support’s password recovery instructions.
If you are already signed in and know your current password, change it in Account Settings. If you are locked out, use the recovery method linked to your account. Roblox’s guidance is to use a new, unique password rather than reuse one from another account or website.
Reset a forgotten password with email
- Go to the Roblox login page and select Forgot Password or Username?
- Enter the email address associated with your Roblox account. It must match the address on the account.
- Open the reset email from Roblox and select its Reset Password button. If you do not see the message, check your spam or junk folder.
- If Roblox shows more than one account associated with the email, select the account you want to recover.
- Enter and confirm a new password.
These steps are from Roblox’s official forgotten-password guidance.

Phone-number features are available only in select countries, and the number must already be associated with the account. Roblox explains the recovery and regional availability in its pages on forgotten passwords and verifying an email address or phone number.

Do not use third-party “password viewer” or recovery tools, and do not give your password or login details to someone who claims they can retrieve it. Roblox advises users to enter login information only on official Roblox websites or apps.

- Add and verify a recovery email. Roblox says an email supports password resets and can help with support. For an account belonging to someone under 13, a parent can verify an email as a parental recovery email. Phone verification is available only in select countries. See Roblox’s contact-verification guidance.
- Use a unique password. A password manager is an optional way to help generate and keep track of distinct passwords; Roblox discusses this in its article about password-change prompts.
- Enable two-step verification (2SV). Roblox lists email, authenticator apps, security keys, and approval on a second device among its 2SV methods. Available methods can depend on your setup and device. Roblox recommends the authenticator-app option on its account safety page; review its 2SV setup instructions for current options.
- Keep codes and credentials private. Never share your password, browser cookies, 2SV codes, or backup codes, even with someone claiming to be Roblox Support. Use only official Roblox websites and apps to sign in.
Optional: Enhanced Protection and security keys
Roblox describes Enhanced Protection as a more restrictive security mode requiring a passkey, a verified email, and either a verified phone number or backup codes. Passwords may still be used to sign in, but the mode also requires a passkey or hardware security-key challenge. Enrollment and login features can depend on device support, so check Roblox’s current Enhanced Protection instructions before setting it up.

A security key is an optional account-protection method—not a way to see or recover an existing password. Details are in Roblox’s 2SV instructions.
