Usually, yes. If you bought a digital PS5 game and the purchase completed, sign in with the PlayStation account used to buy it and check Games home > Game Library > Your Collection. Select the game and choose Download. Delisting means the game is no longer offered for new purchase in that Store listing; the official guidance cited here does not say delisting alone automatically removes an existing purchase. But Sony does not promise perpetual access for every delisted title, so the result can depend on the game’s license, your account and region, and whether its online services still operate.
What delisting changes—and what it does not establish
A delisted game is no longer available for new purchase from the relevant PlayStation Store listing. That fact alone is not evidence that a completed purchase has been revoked. Sony’s US Terms of Service, March 2026 edition, say that after Sony confirms a transaction, the buyer may access the digital product through the account used to order it, subject to applicable Usage Terms. The same terms make users responsible for downloading or accessing a product before it is removed or its license expires. Taken together, those terms support trying to access a previously purchased game through the buying account, but they do not guarantee that every delisted title can be redownloaded indefinitely. If the game is missing or shows a lock
A missing library entry or lock icon is a reason to check the account and license, not proof on its own that a delisting erased the purchase. Work through these checks:
- Verify that you are using the account that made the purchase, then look for the transaction in that account’s history.
- Check whether the game has been hidden in the library.
- Review console sharing settings.
- Try restoring licenses from the console’s license settings.
- If the game came from PlayStation Plus, confirm the subscription is active and the game remains available through the service.
If a confirmed purchase still cannot be accessed, contact PlayStation Support. Include any error code, the troubleshooting steps you tried, and when you attempted to download or launch the game. Downloading a game is not the same as keeping its online features
Even if you can download and launch a game, its online modes may depend on servers or other services that can change separately. Sony’s terms make access subject to applicable Usage Terms, and its service notices distinguish continued play from the availability of online features. Check the official notice for the particular game to confirm whether its servers or online functions remain available. Sony’s US Terms of Service · PlayStation service notices
