Hajin’s enemies range from tiered North Korean soldiers and autonomous machines to helicopters, convoys, Lieutenants, and roaming Commander threats. The local Threat indicator helps estimate danger from AI, but it does not count rival human Operators. Use it alongside the Tac-Map, Stealth Meter, Hostiles Kill Count, and radiation timer—and be prepared to disengage or extract when the risk climbs.
Which enemies can you encounter in Hajin?
Call of Duty’s October 2026 official Hajin Intel Guide describes stationary and roving patrols associated with a secretive North Korean faction. Enemies may ignore, search for, or attack Operators depending on the threat they pose. The roster includes:

- Tier 1: North Korean Grunts.
- Tier 2: Armored North Korean Soldiers.
- Tier 3: Armored, Gas Masked North Korean Soldiers.
- Tier 4: Faceless Armored North Korean Soldiers.
- Autonomous combat drones: a Drone Swarm and an LMG Combat Drone.
- Autonomous Quadrupeds: K9 units, usually found underground.
- Patrols and transport: Attack Infantry Helicopter Patrols and Road Convoys.
- Bosses: Lieutenants, plus Commander threats named Colossus, Deathstalker, and Main NK Battle Tank.
- Other Operators: rival human players, a separate PvP threat.
The guide also lists an additional “[CLASSIFIED]” entry without identifying it, so its identity is unknown. A June 2026 official overview separately describes Commander threats such as tanks, drone swarms, Deathstalker helicopters, Juggernauts, and Elite Strike Teams. That broader overview does not establish a one-to-one mapping between those examples and the October guide’s named roster. The overview also characterizes the environment as PvPvE: hostile AI is only one source of danger.
What does the Hajin Threat level mean?
Each Point of Interest (POI) has a local Threat level shown beneath the compass when you enter. The October guide says disruptive combat raises that POI’s Threat, and higher levels indicate enemies that may be more dangerous and more numerous. Low is the least problematic level in a location that still has enemies; Extreme is the highest.

Treat the indicator as a warning about expected AI response, not a complete encounter script. Individual POIs can have unique encounters, and the Threat level does not include human Operators. A low reading therefore says nothing reliable about whether another squad is nearby or planning an ambush.
How do enemies detect and respond to you?
Call of Duty’s June 6, 2026 official DMZ overview says improved AI can coordinate in squads, navigate, react, and pressure players. A lone enemy may take cover and hold position, freeze, or try to break line of sight.

The Stealth Meter is particularly useful when playing solo. As AI gets close to spotting you, an audio cue and HUD indicator shift from white to yellow to orange. The official guidance is to get low or return to cover before the enemy becomes alerted.
The October guide says sustained aggression can provoke retaliation. It recommends reducing aggressive actions, taking cover, leaving the area, moving toward a rural environment, using stealth, or breaking visual or audible contact to calm a situation. Stealth eliminations using melee weapons, throwing knives, or suppressed shots are presented as ways to move through higher-Threat areas without being noticed.

Which HUD tools should you check before and during a fight?
| Tool | What it tells you | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Tac-Map | Mission objectives, POIs, critical threat areas, enemy compounds, key buildings, ammo and armor caches, radiation, your position and heading, nearby enemies, and pings. | Plan around objectives and hazards; use the map grid to communicate general locations. The official guide’s example is D7 for Imjin Farmland. |
| Local Threat display | Expected AI danger in your current POI, from Low to Extreme. | Check it as you enter and reassess after disruptive combat. It does not measure PvP danger. |
| Hostiles Kill Count | Progress toward the enemy Hunt Squad response. | If its meter fills, the guide says an enemy Hunt Squad is dispatched and you become Marked for Death. |
| Time remaining and radiation indicator | Time pressure and the spreading radiation zone. | Track the storm’s approach and identify an exfil point as conditions worsen. |
| Stealth Meter | How close AI is to spotting you, with a white-to-yellow-to-orange warning and audio cue. | Get low or return to cover before the enemy is alerted. |
The rest of the HUD also shows objectives, compass, squad status, DMZ Cash, equipment, and weapons. The Tac-Map and HUD answer different questions: the map helps you understand where objectives and hazards are, while the local Threat and Stealth indicators warn about nearby AI response.
How should you prepare for escalating danger?
Entering a POI
- Check the local Threat level and map before committing to a fight.
- Use the Tac-Map to locate objectives, enemy compounds, caches, nearby enemies, and radiation; share grid references when coordinating with a squad.
- Remember that a low AI Threat reading is not evidence that rival Operators are absent.
When AI is close to spotting you
- Use cover or get low when the Stealth Meter warns that an enemy is nearing detection.
- If you want to avoid raising local Threat, favor stealth and avoid prolonged disruptive combat where possible.
- If the situation escalates, break contact by leaving the area or moving toward a rural environment, as the official guide advises.
When the Hostiles Kill Count fills or a Commander fight turns bad
- Expect an enemy Hunt Squad and the Marked for Death state when the Hostiles Kill Count meter fills.
- Commander engagements can draw nearby forces, rival Operators, or squads pursuing the same target. The guide advises controlling the area and being ready to break contact if the fight becomes insurmountable.
- Watch the radiation and remaining time while deciding whether to continue fighting or head for exfil.
Before taking a Lieutenant’s Dog Tag Case
A Lieutenant hunt carries a specific exposure trade-off: the Dog Tag Case appears on the Tac-Map for every Operator, and picking it up broadcasts your position. Call of Duty’s guide calls a fast exfil the safest option after taking the Case. Pursuing it means accepting that other squads can see where you are; leaving it avoids that broadcast.
