What the 2022 delisting means for your Steam library
Delisting means the game was removed from sale through the Steam store; it does not mean existing owners automatically lost the game. A 2022 report said Project CARS 2 was removed on September 21 because car and track licenses had expired, and that existing copies would remain playable. Game Developer reported the delisting and the studio’s assurance.

Steam still maintains a support page for Project CARS 2. If you previously bought or redeemed the game on your Steam account, check your Library to see whether it is available to install. A console disc or license belongs to a different platform and does not grant access to the Steam version.
Can you buy it new on Steam?
No. The reported Steam delisting date was September 21, 2022, so it is no longer available as a normal new purchase from the Steam store. A third-party key listing, if you find one, is not an official Steam store purchase; check the seller and the key’s region and activation conditions before considering it.

Does Project CARS 2 multiplayer still work?
The game supported online play historically: Steam lists online PvP, and Bandai Namco’s release-period FAQ described online server searching and multiplayer limits. The 2022 delisting report also said multiplayer would be preserved. Those records document past features and an assurance at the time, not the current status of every server or online mode. No current authoritative service-status confirmation is established here, so online play should be treated as unverified rather than guaranteed.
Steam’s feature labels and the game’s historical Steam news archive show that online modes and multiplayer features existed. They are not live server-status notices.

What are the PC requirements?
Bandai Namco’s older FAQ lists these Windows PC minimum specifications. They are historical requirements from the game’s release period, not a guarantee of compatibility with every current system or Windows configuration.
