Yes. Taonga: the Island Farm is still available as a free-to-play browser game through its official web portal. Facebook play ended on November 27, 2023, but the support team provides a way for existing players to continue their saved game through the portal. The title is a farming-and-exploration game, though free access does not mean unlimited energy: energy is available through play, and the game also offers purchases.
How to play Taonga online now
Taonga: the Island Farm is the original browser game, first released on Facebook in 2016, according to its publisher, Volka Games. Volka says it remains free on its web portal. The official game page says it can be played on a computer or Chromebook in a browser without downloading the game: Taonga: the Island Farm.
Facebook is no longer a place to launch the game. Taonga Player Support says Facebook availability ended on November 27, 2023. If you played there before, the support guide says to open the Taonga portal, choose the Facebook button on the login form, and sign in to continue your progress: How to continue your Facebook game on Taonga Portal.
- Open the official Taonga portal in a web browser on a computer or Chromebook.
- For an existing Facebook game, select the Facebook sign-in button on the login form and authenticate with the Facebook account linked to that game.
- For a new game, use the account creation or Facebook connection option described on the official game page.
What kind of game is Taonga: the Island Farm?
Volka describes a tropical archipelago where farming is combined with crafting and island exploration. The core activities include planting crops, feeding chickens and cows, collecting resources such as eggs and milk, cooking, crafting, fishing, trading, and completing tasks with neighbors. Story islands add resource gathering, obstacles to solve, and treasure hunts. These are features described by the publisher, not an independent assessment of how they feel in play.

That mix makes the browser game more than a farm plot to maintain: progression also involves traveling to islands and completing quests. The official overview is available on Volka Games’ games page and the Taonga game page.
How to get more energy
Energy can limit how much exploration or other activity you do in one stretch. The official support guide lists multiple ways to collect it, including neighbor wellness spots, beach collections such as starfish, clams, and crabs, daily tasks, quest rewards, a wheel of fortune, and a butterfly-catching mini-game. Some sources unlock only after progressing to later levels, so a new player may not see every option at once. See the full, current list in Taonga Player Support’s energy guide.

Is Taonga: the Island Adventure the same game?
No. Taonga: the Island Adventure is a separate mobile release, not another name for the browser game. Volka says it has the same setting but an original story and features, and has been available on Google Play since 2021. Google Play currently lists it as Taonga Island Adventure: Farm for Android and Windows; listing availability and details can change and may vary by region. Its store page marks the mobile app as including in-app purchases: Google Play listing.

What player reviews can—and can’t—tell you
Google Play’s mobile listing displayed 4.4 stars and 49.1K reviews when checked on October 8, 2026. That is a changing snapshot for the mobile app, not a rating for the browser game or an independent quality assessment. Selected reviews shown by Google Play in July and August 2026 raise concerns about energy running out, storage limits, and workshop costs or availability; other reviewers praise the graphics, story, and adventures. The examples show differing experiences, not a representative survey. The developer’s replies point to earning resources and energy through gameplay and to in-game support for energy sources. These comments belong to the mobile edition and should not be treated as proof of identical browser-game mechanics. See the Google Play listing.
This guide is based on the publisher’s feature descriptions, support instructions, and attributed mobile-store feedback; it is not a first-hand play review. No hands-on observations about loading, performance, difficulty, or spending pressure are established here.
