Not directly, according to the manufacturers’ published compatibility information. Sony does not list the DualSense Edge for Xbox consoles, and Microsoft does not list the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 for PS5. For an Elite 2 on PS5, Brook lists its Wingman P5 adapter as a possible workaround; check Brook’s live compatibility list for your exact controller and setup before buying.
Can you use a DualSense Edge on Xbox?
Sony’s DualSense Edge support page lists selected computers and Apple devices—not Xbox consoles—as compatible connection targets. It documents USB-C or Bluetooth connections for Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11, macOS Ventura 13.3 or later, iOS and iPadOS 16.4 or later, and tvOS 16.4 or later. Xbox is not on that list, so Sony’s published guidance does not establish direct Xbox support.
Even on a listed device, supported games and devices determine which Edge features work. Sony notes, for example, that haptic feedback on PC may require USB and is unavailable on Mac and mobile; the headset jack requires a wired connection on PC or Mac.
Can you use an Xbox Elite Series 2 on PS5?
Microsoft lists the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, Windows PCs, and mobile devices. PS5 is not listed as a supported console. Microsoft’s Windows connection options are Bluetooth, a compatible USB-C cable, or the separately sold Xbox Wireless Adapter; those PC options do not establish PS5 compatibility.

- Ultra Customizable Controls
- Mappable Back Buttons
- DualSense Wireless Controller Features Built In
- Replaceable Stick Modules and Caps
Microsoft’s Xbox Wire discussion of the Series X controller describes cross-compatibility between Xbox Series X and Xbox One consoles and controllers, as well as play on PC and mobile. It does not say Xbox controllers work directly on PS5.
Can an adapter connect an Xbox Elite 2 to PS5?
Brook says its Wingman P5 supports selected wired and wireless controllers on PS5 and names the Xbox Elite 2 among supported products. This is Brook’s compatibility claim, not Sony or Microsoft certification. Brook says only controllers on its official compatibility list are guaranteed to work, so verify the exact controller model or revision, connection mode, and current adapter firmware there before purchasing. The reviewed information does not establish that every Elite 2 feature will work through the adapter.

Brook also describes its Wingman FGC 2 as supporting Xbox and other controllers, while directing buyers to its compatibility information. Broad wording about a controller brand or console family is not a substitute for checking whether your specific controller is listed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why USB-C or Bluetooth does not guarantee compatibility
A matching connector or wireless protocol alone does not mean a console will accept a controller. Sony and Microsoft document supported platforms separately, and neither manufacturer’s listed support establishes the direct cross-console pairings above. An adapter is a separate compatibility route with its own supported-model list and setup requirements.

What to check before buying an adapter
- Exact controller: Match the model and revision against the adapter maker’s compatibility list.
- Console and connection mode: Confirm PS5 support and whether your intended wired or wireless setup is listed.
- Firmware: Check the current adapter firmware requirements and update process.
- Features: Look for any limitations that matter to you; support for basic controller input does not prove that every controller feature works.
