Usually, no. A normal All the Mods 10 (ATM10) server runs NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, while Bukkit, Paper and Spigot plugins target a different server API. Dropping plugin JARs into a plugins folder will not turn the official ATM10 server into a plugin server. A hybrid server jar may bridge the two ecosystems, but compatibility is version-specific and experimental rather than an ATM10-supported feature.
Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
What ATM10 runs on
ATM10 is a large Minecraft modpack, not a Paper or Spigot server distribution. The ATM10 project describes the pack as containing around 500 mods. The researched release targets Minecraft 1.21.1 and uses NeoForge; the latest listed file was ATM10-8.2, dated September 22, 2026.

That distinction matters because Minecraft server software has separate extension ecosystems:
- NeoForge mods load through the NeoForge mod loader and are designed for a modded server.
- Bukkit, Paper and Spigot plugins expect the Bukkit-style server API, event system and command/permission hooks exposed by those server implementations.
The official ATM10 server files launch a NeoForge server. They do not promise native loading of Bukkit-family plugins, and the pack’s normal setup should be treated as a NeoForge installation from the start.

Why a plugin JAR does not work on a standard ATM10 server
On Paper or Spigot, an operator normally copies a compatible JAR into plugins, restarts the server and configures the plugin. A stock ATM10 server does not provide that loading mechanism. Its startup process scans for NeoForge mods and the libraries required by the pack, not arbitrary Bukkit plugins.
Putting a plugin in a folder, renaming the file or adding a plugins directory therefore does not create compatibility. Typical outcomes are that the file is ignored, the server reports that it is not a valid mod, or startup fails because the software cannot resolve the plugin’s expected API. Even when a hybrid layer appears to load a plugin, that does not prove that its events, permissions, commands or data storage behave correctly with every ATM10 mod.

The supported way to run an ATM10 server
For the most predictable result, use the Server Files supplied for the exact ATM10 version you intend to run. ATM’s setup guide recommends extracting those files, running the included start script, accepting Minecraft’s EULA and then configuring the server. On a third-party host, the guide recommends creating a fresh NeoForge server for the pack version where possible and uploading the extracted Server Files.

- Choose one pack release. Record the ATM10 version, Minecraft version and NeoForge version shown in that release. Do not mix files from different pack versions.
- Download that release’s Server Files. Use the server package corresponding to the same ATM10 version installed by every player.
- Extract the archive into a clean server directory. Avoid copying an old Paper, Spigot or unrelated modpack directory over it.
- Run the included start script. On the first launch, the server creates its initial files and stops or asks you to accept the EULA, depending on the package.
- Accept the EULA and launch again. Only accept it after reading the EULA file and agreeing to its terms.
- Configure the server. Set the server name, port, whitelist, operator accounts and other settings in the generated configuration files.
- Connect with the matching ATM10 client. Players should use the same pack release, Minecraft version and loader version as the server.
This procedure gives you the environment ATM10’s pack files and support documentation are written for: NeoForge, not a Bukkit-compatible replacement.
What to use instead of a Bukkit plugin
If you want a plugin because you need a particular administrative function, first look for a NeoForge-native mod or an option already included in ATM10. A server-side mod can often provide commands, claims, permissions, logging, backups or moderation features without introducing a second server API.
Check the mod’s documentation for whether it is server-only. Some mods must also be installed on every client; others can run only on the server. The distinction affects what you upload, what players must install and how you troubleshoot connection errors.

Questions to ask before adding a replacement
- Does it explicitly support Minecraft 1.21.1 and the NeoForge version used by your ATM10 release?
- Is it compatible with the pack’s current mod list, rather than merely compatible with NeoForge in general?
- Does it require a client installation, or is it server-side only?
- Does it overlap with an existing ATM10 mod’s commands, permissions or networking?
- Can its configuration and data be backed up and removed cleanly if it causes a problem?
Can a hybrid server run ATM10 mods and plugins together?
Possibly, but this is a separate, conditional approach. A March 27, 2025 Minecraft Forum reply identified Mohist and its fork Youer as software intended to combine Forge/NeoForge with Bukkit, Paper or Spigot plugins. The same reply stated that a 1.21.1 build was not released at that time.
That forum statement is community guidance, not an ATMTeam compatibility guarantee. Availability may have changed, and a build that claims support for Minecraft 1.21.1 still may not support the exact NeoForge version, ATM10 release or plugin versions you need. Treat a hybrid jar as an experiment that must be validated against your complete software stack.
Compatibility checks before installing a hybrid
- Confirm the ATM10 release. Write down the exact pack version, not just “ATM10.”
- Confirm Minecraft and NeoForge versions. A hybrid build for another 1.21.x or another loader revision is not automatically suitable.
- Read the hybrid project’s supported APIs. Verify whether it actually supports the Bukkit, Paper or Spigot API level required by each plugin.
- Check every plugin separately. A plugin that supports Minecraft 1.21.1 may still depend on an API or library unavailable in the hybrid implementation.
- Audit ATM10’s sensitive mods. Pay special attention to mods that alter networking, entities, commands, permissions or other server internals.
- Test a copy of the world. Never make the first hybrid launch on the only production copy of a world.
Native NeoForge versus a hybrid jar
| Decision factor | Official ATM10 NeoForge server | Hybrid server implementation |
|---|---|---|
| ATM10’s documented setup | Uses the pack’s Server Files and NeoForge. | Requires replacing or altering the normal server software; not promised by ATM10 documentation. |
| Bukkit/Paper/Spigot plugins | Not natively supported; placing JARs in plugins is not enough. |
May load some plugins if the exact hybrid build exposes the required API. |
| Mod compatibility | Matches the environment the pack is distributed for. | Must be tested because the bridge can conflict with mods, mappings, events or lifecycle assumptions. |
| Stability and diagnosis | One primary loader and a support path aligned with the pack. | More layers, making crashes and behavioral bugs harder to isolate. |
| Updates | Follow the ATM10 release and its NeoForge requirements. | Three moving targets must align: ATM10, the hybrid software and each plugin. |
| Player installation | Players use the matching ATM10 client. | The hybrid does not remove the need for matching ATM10 mods; connection behavior must be tested. |
| Administrative features | Use compatible NeoForge mods or built-in configuration. | Potentially broader plugin choice, but only after proving each feature works. |
A safe test and migration process
If a required feature exists only as a Bukkit-family plugin, isolate the risk before changing the live server.

- Back up the world and server directory. Keep an untouched copy of the current NeoForge installation, configuration and player data.
- Clone the server. Copy the world to a separate test directory and change its port so it cannot be mistaken for production.
- Install the exact candidate hybrid build. Do not add multiple experimental jars at once; you need to know which change caused a failure.
- Start without plugins. Confirm that ATM10 itself reaches a stable startup and that the world loads.
- Add one plugin at a time. Record its version, dependencies and configuration. Restart after each addition.
- Exercise real workflows. Test login, teleportation, chunk loading, entities, commands, permissions, moderation actions and any automated jobs the plugin performs.
- Run a sustained session. Watch the console for repeated errors, memory growth, tick delays and disconnects rather than stopping after a successful first boot.
- Compare with the native server. If a feature can be delivered by a NeoForge-native mod with fewer compatibility risks, prefer that route.
- Only then plan a cutover. Announce maintenance, take a fresh backup and retain a rollback path to the original NeoForge files.
Common failure symptoms and what they mean
The plugin is ignored
On the official NeoForge server, this is expected behavior. The server is not a Bukkit plugin host. Remove the JAR and find a NeoForge-native alternative or evaluate a hybrid implementation separately.
The server says the file is not a valid mod
A Bukkit plugin is packaged for a different loader. Do not try to fix this by renaming it. Install a mod built for the exact Minecraft and NeoForge versions, or use a verified bridge that explicitly supports the plugin API.
The hybrid server starts but a plugin feature fails
Check API and dependency versions first. Then test for overlap with ATM10 mods that handle commands, permissions, entities or networking. A plugin can load successfully while still receiving incomplete or different events from the bridge.

Players can no longer connect
Verify the client’s ATM10 release, Minecraft version and loader version. A hybrid server still runs the modpack, so it does not make mismatched clients compatible. Review the server log for missing mods, rejected protocol versions or dependency errors.
An update breaks the installation
Hybrid setups have additional update dependencies. Record the versions that worked, read the ATM10 release notes and test updates on the cloned server before changing production. If no compatible combination exists, revert to the official NeoForge files.
Hosting considerations
A host must support custom NeoForge modpack files, not merely offer a one-click Paper installation. Before ordering or migrating, ask the host to confirm the exact ATM10 version, Minecraft and NeoForge versions, its policy for custom server jars, and how you upload the pack’s Server Files. Also verify the host’s current memory guidance for the specific pack release rather than relying on a generic Minecraft plan description.
For a hybrid deployment, ask whether custom jars are permitted, whether you can change startup arguments and whether you can download complete backups. A host’s control panel label does not establish that a particular hybrid build or plugin combination is supported.
Bottom line for ATM10 server owners
Use the official ATM10 Server Files with NeoForge when stability, pack support and straightforward updates are your priorities. Do not expect Bukkit, Paper or Spigot plugins to work on that server merely because their JARs are present. A hybrid implementation can be investigated when a specific plugin is essential, but it should be treated as version-sensitive experimental software: verify every component, test a copied world and keep a rollback to the native NeoForge setup.
