If you can’t add or invite a friend in Call of Duty: Mobile, first check whether your Friends List is full. Activision’s published guidance sets a 100-friend limit, though that article dates to 2019. If you have room, check the game’s connection, restart your device, and use in-app help if the problem continues.
1. Check your Friends List capacity
Activision’s account and friends guidance, dated October 6, 2019, says the Friends List can hold a maximum of 100 friends. If your list is at that limit, review it and then try adding the friend again. Because the published guidance is from 2019, it may not reflect a limit changed in a current game version.
2. Check the game’s connection
Call of Duty: Mobile requires a network connection. Activision’s troubleshooting tips recommend using a strong Wi-Fi connection when you have connection trouble or lag. These are general connectivity recommendations, not a confirmed fix for friend requests specifically.
3. Restart and retry
Activision also lists restarting the device as a general way to refresh the connection. Restart your device, reopen Call of Duty: Mobile, and try the friend request again.

4. Contact support if it still fails
From the main lobby, tap the question-mark icon at the top of the screen, choose a help category, and select the closest matching topic. Activision’s Support Options page includes the issue wording “I can’t invite friends.” You can also start from the Call of Duty: Mobile support index.
The cited Activision pages do not identify a specific cause or error-code fix for failed friend requests, nor do they establish whether a particular restriction is account-specific or affected by platform or region. If the steps above do not help, use in-app help and include the exact message you see.
