Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →“Registration” can mean signing up for an Activision account, verifying its email, linking a gaming platform, or redeeming a Monster Energy promotion code. Start by noting the exact page, step, and error message where you get stuck; then follow the matching steps below. The current Monster promotion is separate from Activision account registration.
First, identify which registration step is failing
| Where you are stuck | What you are trying to do | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Activision or Call of Duty account form | Create an account or submit signup details | Check the form requirements and browser settings. |
| Email inbox | Verify an account email | Check spam and follow Activision’s resend guidance. |
| Linked Accounts in your Activision profile | Connect a PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, or other platform account | Use Activision’s linking sequence and confirm you are signing into the intended accounts. |
| Monster promotion page or code entry | Sign in for the promotion or redeem a product code | Use the current promotion terms for your region; this is not Activision account signup. |
These are separate flows, so a fix for one will not necessarily solve another. Activision’s account registration page and support articles cover account setup, verification, and platform linking; its current support page describes a separate Monster promotion.
If the Activision account form will not submit
Check that JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your browser. Activision’s registration page states, “JavaScript and cookies are required.” Complete every required field and follow the password rules shown on the form.
- Password length: 8–30 characters.
- Include at least one letter and one number.
- Avoid sequential or repeated characters.
- Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
If a browser extension or privacy setting is blocking the form, try the registration page in a browser configuration that allows JavaScript and cookies. Record the exact error before retrying so you can distinguish a form problem from an existing-account or verification issue.

If your email is already in use or you see “Account Registration Error: 0”
Do not keep attempting to create a duplicate account. Activision’s Account Registration Error: 0 guidance identifies an email address already tied to an Activision account as a documented cause of that error. The guidance is specific to the documented game error, not a diagnosis for every registration failure.
- Try signing in with the email address you entered.
- If you do not know the password, use the account recovery option on the sign-in page.
- Once you regain access, use that account for the relevant Call of Duty and promotion steps rather than creating another one with the same email.
What if you didn’t receive the verification email?
Look in spam or junk for a message from activision.com. Activision says verification emails can be triggered by account-linking or credential-change actions and, in some cases, online or in-game logins. Its email verification guidance says to repeat the action that triggered the message after 24 hours to request another one. Add activision.com to your approved sender list if messages are being filtered.

If you still cannot access the address or receive the message, contact Activision Support. For security and privacy reasons, support may be unable to change account details, so be prepared to verify access through the account’s existing information.
If linking your console or PC account fails
Sign into the platform account and the Activision account in the same browser, then use Activision’s account-management flow. Its Managing Your Activision Account page says only one account per provider may be linked to an Activision account.

- Sign in to the Activision account you intend to keep using.
- Open Linked Accounts.
- Select Link Account beside the platform you want to connect.
- Request and enter the verification code if prompted.
- Finish the platform provider’s sign-in and authorization steps.
Before linking, confirm that this is the Activision account holding the Call of Duty progression you want. In games with cross-progression, progress is stored on the Activision account and does not carry over to a different Activision account. Activision says progress and content are not lost; they can be accessed again by relinking the platform to the original Activision account.
If the Monster promotion or code is the problem
Stop troubleshooting Activision account creation if the failure is on the Monster promotion site or at code redemption. Activision’s support page, Monster Energy x Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Promotions, dated September 1, 2026, describes eligible co-branded cans or multipacks carrying codes and directs participants to the promotion terms for eligibility and availability.

- Here at Monster, we honor, respect, and admire our heroes in Camo and navy blues, past to present. As a show of appreciation to those who devote their lives to defend this great country, we created a new Ultra in their honor
- ZERO SUGAR, MAXIMUM FLAVOR | Monster Energy Ultra Red, White and Blue Razz has 10 calories, zero sugar, and big flavor
- REFRESHING TASTE | Ultra Red, White, and Blue Razz is light, refreshing, and super easy drinking, with Blue Raspberry and the taste of a melted rocket pop!
- MADE FOR ALL DAY ENERGY | Loaded with our legendary energy blend to help you stay frosty and get after it
Check those current terms for the country or region where the product was purchased and the exact redemption instructions. A can image, an old promotion page, or a code found online does not establish that a product or code qualifies. The current support page does not establish universal geographic availability, and buying a promotional product does not fix a failed Activision account registration.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do not follow expired promotion instructions
An official Monster Energy / Black Ops III promotion document from 2015 set a registration deadline of March 31, 2016. That window has expired; its steps apply to that earlier game and promotion, not the current Modern Warfare 4 promotion. The separate Modern Warfare III promotion page likewise concerns an earlier game and should not replace the current terms.
