Capcom announced that MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 would come to Xbox One in 2025. One of those releases is now confirmed: Capcom Fighting Collection 2 launched on Xbox One on May 16, 2025. Capcom’s cited announcement set a 2025 target for the Marvel collection, but the sources available here do not establish its exact Xbox release date or current availability.
Which Capcom collections were announced for Xbox?
Capcom’s September 2024 announcement named two collections for Xbox One: MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2. Capcom said both Xbox versions were expected in 2025 after technical discussions with Microsoft. Windows Central reported Capcom’s announcement, including the 2025 target year.
That announcement is now partly historical rather than a notice of two still-upcoming releases. Capcom confirmed that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 launched on Xbox One on May 16, 2025. The sources cited here do not confirm an exact Xbox date or current availability for the Marvel collection, so its 2025 announcement should not be treated as proof of a present store listing.
What’s in Capcom Fighting Collection 2?
The collection brings together eight games spanning Capcom’s fighting and arena-brawler catalog:
#1 Best Overall
- LEGENDARY CROSSOVER COLLECTION — Battle through seven arcade classics from the fan-favorite Marvel and Capcom crossover series, including X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes.
- PLAY ONLINE OR CO-OP — Take every included game online, battle head-to-head, team up in co-op, create lobbies with friends, or spectate other matches.
- SMOOTH ONLINE PLAY — Compete in ranked battles or casual matches with rollback netcode designed to deliver smooth, responsive online competition.
- BEGINNER-FRIENDLY FEATURES — Jump into the action with adjustable difficulty, One Button Specials, training modes, and save and load support that make the classics approachable for every skill level.
- CHASE THE HIGH SCORE — Take on High Score Challenge mode, sharpen your arcade skills, and fight your way up the global leaderboards.
- Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
- Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
- Capcom Fighting Evolution
- Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
- Project Justice
- Power Stone
- Power Stone 2
- Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein
Capcom’s launch announcement confirms the lineup and says the collection released for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Steam. The roster includes both one-on-one fighters and the arena-based Power Stone games, making this a broader selection than a Street Fighter-only compilation.
What Xbox One features are confirmed?
Capcom’s support FAQ, updated July 20, 2026, lists the Xbox One edition at 1080p and confirms that it supports achievements. It also says online play is limited to players on the same platform: Xbox players cannot use cross-platform online play to match with players on other systems. See Capcom’s platform FAQ for the platform-specific feature details.
Rank #2
- Darkstalkers All-in-One - For the first time ever outside of Japan, all five Darkstalkers games are playable in one collection, including two titles previously released only in Japan.
- Cult Favorite Red Earth - Red Earth also makes its debut outside of the arcade, landing on consoles and PC!
- Here Comes a Renowned Challenger - The iconic Street Fighter brand makes an appearance across Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Hyper Street Fighter II, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.
- Online Play for All - Players can now take the fight online to showcase their abilities in all 10 titles across ranked, casual, and lobby matches with up to 9 players.
- Train to Win - Training Mode has been added to each game to allow fans to master their favorite characters. Note: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo does not have a training mode option.
Can you get a physical Xbox copy?
Capcom confirms physical editions for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, but its cited launch announcement does not list an Xbox physical edition. That distinction matters if you want a boxed copy: the confirmed physical options are for other platforms, not Xbox One.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a separate release from the earlier Capcom Fighting Collection. Xbox Wire’s 2022 article describes the original collection as containing ten games; it is not one of the two collections in Capcom’s 2024 Xbox announcement. Xbox Wire’s original-collection overview is useful if you are comparing the two Capcom compilations rather than looking for the newer lineup.
