Capcom Fighting Collection 2 brings eight arcade-era games together, from the Capcom vs. SNK crossovers to Project Justice, Power Stone and the Star Gladiator sequel Plasma Sword. Released May 16, 2025, it is available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam; Capcom also confirmed physical editions for Switch and PS4. Every game supports online play with rollback netcode, but matches are limited to players on the same platform.
Which games are included?
The collection spans several distinct strands of Capcom’s arcade fighting-game catalog. Its eight titles are:

The “deep cuts” appeal is especially clear in the games beyond the better-known Capcom vs. SNK entries. Project Justice follows Rival Schools and uses 3-on-3 battles, while Plasma Sword continues the Star Gladiator series. Power Stone and Power Stone 2 stand apart from conventional fighters: Capcom describes them as 3D action games. The lineup is therefore a mix of formats and series, not eight versions of the same kind of one-on-one bout. Where can you play it?
Capcom released the collection on May 16, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. The launch announcement confirmed physical copies for Switch and PS4; it listed digital availability across all four platforms. Capcom Support says the basic game content is the same across platforms, with some differences driven by hardware and controllers. The platform-specific details listed in its FAQ are:

These specifications come from Capcom Support’s FAQ, updated July 20, 2026. Resolution on PC depends on the graphics card, so 2160p is not a guarantee for every system.
Can you play online with friends on another platform?
No. All eight games support online play with rollback netcode, but online matchmaking is restricted to the same platform. A Switch player, for example, cannot join a friend playing on Steam. Choose the same version as the people you expect to play with; Capcom’s FAQ confirms the platform restriction.
Within that limit, Capcom lists casual and ranked matches, lobbies, and high-score challenges among the online options. Local multiplayer is also listed for Switch, though the FAQ does not specify local-player details for every platform.

What practice and collection features are included?
Capcom lists training modes for every game, along with adjustable difficulty, customizable controls and quick saves for Arcade Mode. One-button special moves are available through control customization, which can lower the execution barrier without changing the game’s original move inputs for players who prefer them. The launch announcement also lists display filters, wallpapers, display-size settings, hit-box displays for the 2D games, and internal-resolution options for games with 3D elements. These additions make the compilation more configurable than a bare set of arcade ports. Capcom’s launch feature list describes these options.
The collection also includes a gallery and music. Capcom’s product page advertises more than 700 pieces of artwork and more than 300 music tracks; those are Capcom’s stated totals, not independently audited counts. What changed in the August 2025 update?
A free update announced for August 7, 2025 added several features. It made Maki, Yun, Eagle and Ingrid available in Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER’s EX settings, added modes, introduced Plasma Combo route display in Plasma Sword’s training mode, and included two CAP-JAMS remix tracks and additional gallery artwork. This is a dated update summary, not a claim that it is the collection’s latest patch; the official Steam announcement archive records the update.
Do regional versions differ?
Capcom says regional versions contain the same game content. Players can, however, change the arcade ROM version for each title, and the Japanese and English ROMs have some differences, including certain title and character names. That distinction matters if you want to play a particular regional arcade version rather than simply choose the collection’s language. Capcom’s support FAQ explains the ROM options.

What does the PC version require?
Capcom Town Store lists Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit), 4 GB of memory and 4 GB of storage for the Steam version, and recommends an XInput-compatible controller. Treat these as the requirements listed by the store, and check the current listing before purchase in case they change. The store also notes that adjustable resolution depends on the graphics card.
