Konami announced Castlevania Dominus Collection as available to download on Nintendo Switch on August 26, 2024; the collection’s official product page and Nintendo UK list August 27 as its release date. It brings together three Nintendo DS entries and two versions of the arcade game Haunted Castle—not just the three DS games often used to describe it.
Was Castlevania Dominus Collection a Switch shadow drop?
Yes. Konami’s US announcement, dated August 26, 2024, said the collection was then available for download on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam: Konami’s announcement. The official collection page and Nintendo UK’s Switch listing give August 27, 2024, as the release date: Konami’s collection page and Nintendo UK’s listing.
Those are the announcement and product-listing dates, respectively. The sources do not establish the precise time-zone mechanics behind the one-day difference, so it should not be read as proof of a particular simultaneous global launch time.
Which games are included?
The collection contains five games or versions: three Nintendo DS titles and the original Haunted Castle arcade game alongside its redesigned counterpart. Konami dates the DS games’ original releases from 2005 to 2008.

How does the collection adapt the DS games?
The DS games were built around two screens. The collection lets players customize the display layout to suit the original dual-screen presentation, and it includes customizable buttons. Nintendo UK lists touchscreen support, but its listing does not specify which actions or screens use touch.

Other added options include rewind and quick save and load at any time. Players can switch between regional versions, with separate save data for each version. Konami groups these additions under “Quality of Life” functions. The collection also includes archival and audio extras:

- An encyclopedia covering enemies, equipment, and items.
- A music player with playlist support.

Is the Switch release digital or physical?
The Switch launch was a download release. Limited Run Games later produced a separate physical Switch cartridge edition; its product page describes the cartridge as region-free: Limited Run Games’ physical edition page.
