Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor a small US PC group, the lowest directly evidenced offer is Nitrado’s 8-slot DayZ plan at $12.99 for 30 days. For UK PC players, GTX Gaming lists 10 slots for £10.99 per month. Those prices are not like-for-like: they use different currencies, regions and capacities, and neither proves a universal worldwide winner.
A good cheap server is more than the smallest number on a pricing page. It must support your platform, fit your expected concurrent player count, offer a usable location for your group, provide the mod and file controls you need, and include management, backups and support you can live with. The prices below were provider listings accessed on 13 October 2026, so confirm the selected configuration, tax, renewal rate and checkout total before paying.

The cheapest DayZ hosting offers with useful features
These are the lowest-priced or most relevant configurations directly evidenced for this comparison. They are advertised rates, not independently verified checkout totals or performance results.
| Provider and region | Displayed configuration | Advertised features | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nitrado, US listing | $12.99 for 30 days, 8 slots; $16.19 for 30 days, 10 slots | PC and console platform selector, listed locations, mods and plugins, daily backups, DDoS protection and support | US-page pricing; confirm platform, location, tax and final checkout total |
| GTX Gaming, UK page | £10.99 per month, 10 slots | PC hosting, up to 10GB RAM and 100GB NVMe stated, Steam Workshop, Mod Manager, backups, DDoS protection and 24/7 support | UK pricing and provider-advertised specifications; currency and market differ from the US offers |
| GPORTAL, US page | $23.49 for 30 days, 20 slots; $48.80 for 30 days, 60 slots | Selectable location, support, DDoS protection, backup storage and prepaid 30-, 90- or 180-day choices | Not the cheapest small-group configuration in these offers; the cited prices buy substantially more slots |
| Host Havoc, UK page | £13.59 per month for a displayed 20-slot selection | Steam/PC hosting, mod-friendly setup, web console, file manager, Workshop installer and offsite backups | The displayed configuration is selected on the page; billing term and add-ons affect the price |
The practical starting point is therefore Nitrado’s 8-slot US listing if you play on PC in the United States and eight concurrent places are enough. A UK PC group has a lower displayed monthly figure with GTX Gaming, but that is not evidence that it is cheaper for a US customer or better value after currency conversion. Larger groups should compare the total capacity they actually need rather than choosing a plan only because its headline price is lower.

What “still good” should mean for a cheap DayZ server
DayZ hosting becomes poor value when a low rate forces compromises that affect every session. Use five tests before ordering.
Platform compatibility
Check whether the plan is for PC/Steam, console, or both. DayZ’s official private-console-server FAQ says: “You can rent these servers from our server hosting partner Nitrado, and customise the experience to a certain extent, as we want to keep the game concept close to the Vanilla experience at the start.” That makes platform confirmation especially important for Xbox and PlayStation players. Host Havoc describes its DayZ offer as Steam/PC-only, so it is not a console option.
Enough concurrent slots
Slots are simultaneous player places, not a count of people who may join your community over a month. Buy for the busiest normal session. The evidenced offers run from eight slots to 60, but the prices are tied to different currencies, billing periods and regions. An eight-slot plan is sensible for a private group that rarely has more than eight people online; it is not a bargain if regular players are turned away.
A location your players can reach
Choose a datacenter near most of your players, then test latency from their actual regions after setup. A provider’s location list only shows where it can place a server. It does not guarantee a particular player’s ping, routing quality or in-game smoothness. If your group is split across continents, select the location that gives the majority a stable connection and accept that the distant minority may see higher latency.
The controls your server requires
Vanilla play needs less administration than a heavily modded community. For mods or community maps, verify that the plan offers the complete workflow: Steam Workshop or Mod Manager installation, access to configuration files, a way to edit startup parameters, and a console or restart control. A feature badge saying “mods supported” is not enough if you cannot update a mod or recover from a bad configuration.
Backups, protection and support
Backups matter because a corrupted configuration, accidental wipe or failed update can erase progress. Confirm how often backups run, how long they are retained and whether you can restore one yourself. DDoS protection can help availability during an attack, but provider advertising is not independent uptime evidence. Likewise, “24/7 support” describes an advertised support channel, not a guaranteed response time or resolution quality.
Provider-by-provider choices
Nitrado: lowest evidenced US small-group price
The US listing shows $12.99 for 30 days and eight slots, plus a 10-slot option at $16.19 for 30 days. It includes a platform selector for PC and console, listed server locations, mods and plugins, daily backups, DDoS protection and support in the advertised feature set.
Select the platform first, then the location and slot count. Do not assume that the eight-slot price applies to every platform or region shown in the selector. Taxes, currency conversion, promotions and add-ons can change the amount at checkout. If you need ten simultaneous players, the $16.19 configuration is the relevant comparison rather than the cheaper eight-slot headline.

GTX Gaming: UK 10-slot comparison point
The UK page lists 10 PC slots at £10.99 per month and states up to 10GB of RAM and 100GB of NVMe storage. It advertises Steam Workshop and a Mod Manager, along with backups, DDoS protection and 24/7 support.
Those RAM and storage figures are provider specifications, not an independent guarantee of DayZ performance under a particular mod load. Treat £10.99 as a UK listing price. A US buyer must account for currency, taxes, available locations and the final renewal amount before comparing it with a dollar-denominated plan.

GPORTAL: more capacity, not the cheapest small server
The US page shows $23.49 for 30 days and 20 slots, or $48.80 for 30 days and 60 slots. It describes selectable locations, support, DDoS protection and backup storage, and offers prepaid terms of 30, 90 or 180 days.
This can make sense when your group genuinely needs 20 or more simultaneous places, or when a longer prepaid term fits your budget. It is not a direct substitute for an eight- or ten-slot plan: you are paying for at least twice the capacity in the smaller cited configuration. Compare the complete prepaid total and renewal conditions, not only the equivalent monthly arithmetic.

Host Havoc: UK 20-slot PC configuration
The UK page displays £13.59 per month for a selected 20-slot configuration. It positions the service as Steam/PC-only and advertises a web console, file manager, Workshop installer and offsite backups.
Recommended Free Tools
Those administration tools can be valuable for a modded server because they reduce the need for manual file transfers. The displayed price is tied to the selected billing term and add-ons, so change those controls and read the resulting total before ordering. Console players should exclude this offer because the page describes the DayZ servers as Steam/PC-only.
How to choose the cheapest plan that will work
- Write down your platform. Mark PC/Steam, Xbox or PlayStation before looking at price. Remove every plan that does not explicitly support that platform.
- Count peak concurrent players. Use your busiest expected session, not your total Discord membership. Add a small margin only if you regularly invite new players; avoid paying for 60 places when eight is your normal maximum.
- Map player locations. List where the regular players live and select the nearest available host location for the largest share. After deployment, have players check their in-game latency from their normal networks.
- List required server changes. Decide whether you need Workshop mods, community maps, configuration-file editing, scheduled restarts, a web console or direct file access. Confirm each item on the chosen plan’s current page.
- Inspect backup and recovery controls. Find the backup schedule, retention period and restore procedure. A backup that cannot be restored without a support ticket may not meet your recovery needs.
- Calculate the real first payment. Select the exact slot count, platform, location and billing term. Include tax, currency conversion, add-ons and any promotional expiry in your comparison.
- Check renewal terms. Record what the plan costs after an introductory promotion or prepaid period. Save the order confirmation and the selected configuration so you can identify changes later.
- Test administration immediately. Once the server is online, connect from the intended platform, install one required mod, restart the server and verify that the configuration persists. Do this before inviting the whole group.
How to compare prices fairly
A displayed monthly figure is meaningful only when the underlying product is comparable. Normalize four variables: currency and country, slot count, billing period and location. Nitrado’s $12.99 is an eight-slot, 30-day US listing; its $16.19 figure is for ten slots. GTX Gaming’s £10.99 is a UK 10-slot monthly listing. GPORTAL’s $23.49 buys 20 slots for 30 days, while its $48.80 figure buys 60 slots for the same stated period. Host Havoc’s £13.59 is shown for 20 slots on a UK page.
Do not convert currencies and then present the result as a precise worldwide ranking without checking exchange rates, taxes and checkout rules. Exchange rates move, and the provider may apply a different conversion rate. Likewise, a 90- or 180-day prepaid option can change the effective monthly cost while increasing the amount you must pay upfront.

Common cheap-hosting mistakes and fixes
Choosing the lowest headline price for the wrong platform
A PC-only plan cannot host a console group. Fix this by selecting the platform before comparing slots or features, and verify the platform again on the order summary.
Underbuying slots
If the server fills during your regular event, players may be unable to join even though the server itself is healthy. Fix this by sizing for peak concurrent use and moving to the next slot tier only when the smaller tier is consistently full.
Assuming a location guarantees low ping
A nearby advertised location can still produce poor routing for one player. Ask several regular players to test latency after deployment. If most players have problems, request a location change where the provider allows it; if only one player does, investigate that player’s local network before changing the server.
Installing mods without a recovery plan
A broken mod order or incompatible update can prevent startup. Create or verify a backup before each substantial change, apply one change at a time, and keep a record of the previous working configuration. Use the provider’s restore process when a known-good backup exists rather than deleting files at random.
Confusing advertised features with measured performance
No independent performance testing is established for these offers. Feature lists do not prove uptime, tick-rate consistency, latency or smooth gameplay for your group. Treat the first billing period as a practical compatibility check and keep cancellation or migration instructions available.

Quick Recap
Which option fits which group?
- Small US PC group: Start by checking Nitrado’s $12.99, eight-slot, 30-day listing. Move to the $16.19 ten-slot configuration if ten simultaneous players are required.
- Small UK PC group: GTX Gaming’s £10.99 monthly ten-slot listing is the direct UK comparison point, provided its location, mod tools and final checkout terms suit the group.
- PC group needing 20 slots: Compare GPORTAL’s $23.49 per 30 days with Host Havoc’s displayed £13.59 monthly UK 20-slot configuration after matching currency, location and billing term.
- Larger community: GPORTAL’s cited 60-slot, $48.80-per-30-days listing is the only offer here explicitly sized at that level, but capacity does not establish better performance or value by itself.
- Console group: Confirm a console-compatible plan. The official DayZ FAQ identifies Nitrado as the private-console hosting partner, while Host Havoc’s offer is explicitly Steam/PC-only.
