Park Adventures, the first expansion in Cities: Skylines II’s Expansion Pass 2, is planned for Q4 2026. It introduces modular city parks, zoos, amusement parks and nature reserves, while the accompanying free update reworks leisure for every player. You do not need to buy the DLC to receive the core leisure-system changes or the Autumn Breeze patch improvements.
What Park Adventures adds
Park Adventures lets you draw a park area and develop it organically. Instead of selecting a permanent park category at the start, you place buildings and attractions; the park’s identity emerges from what you build. The system covers four directions:

- City parks
- Zoos
- Amusement parks
- Nature reserves
The expansion contains more than 100 new assets and five maps. Parks attract visitors, level up as they become more successful and operate through a dedicated economy. You can set ticket prices, allocate staff budgets and manage maintenance, with those decisions affecting the park’s ratings and appeal.

The draw-and-build approach is more flexible than a fixed attraction menu. A single outlined area can evolve from a conventional green space into a zoo, a fairground or a nature-focused destination as you add the relevant facilities. That gives the park a progression path rather than making its type a one-time choice.
#1 Best Overall
- This Content Creator Pack adds 10 maps that represent different biomes such as Boreal, Desert, Tropical, and Temperate.
Do the theme-park and zoo features come free?
No. The paid attractions, park progression, park economy, new assets and maps belong to Park Adventures. However, the leisure rework created for the expansion is a free base-game update. Iceflake Studios says improved leisure systems and better decisions about how citizens choose and use leisure destinations will be available to everyone, including players who do not own the DLC.
That means ownership determines whether you can build the new parks, not whether your existing city benefits from the underlying leisure simulation. The developer describes the leisure rework as a core part of the work on the expansion that is not restricted to DLC owners.
What the free Autumn Breeze update changes
The Expansion Pass 2 announcement arrived alongside patch 1.6.2f1, named Autumn Breeze. Its changes apply to the base game and include simulation, presentation and mod-related work.
- Garbage trucks receive improved destination logic.
- Garbage has a larger effect on citizen happiness.
- Company-renting priorities are adjusted.
- Residential-demand calculations are changed for large cities.
- Citizen spending decisions use income rather than wealth.
- Several vehicle and household behaviors are fixed.
- Visual, user-interface, Asset Editor and Paradox Mods changes are included.
These are documented systems and patch changes, not a measured promise that every city will run better or that player satisfaction will rise by a specific amount. Their practical value depends on how your city uses garbage services, housing demand, household finances, vehicles and mods.

What else is in Expansion Pass 2?
Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios announced Expansion Pass 2 on September 15, 2026. The PC pass launched with the Downtown Market Set as an instant unlock and a roadmap spanning two expansions, three creator packs, a map pack and a radio station. The announced price was $44.99, £37.99 or €44.99, with Paradox stating that the bundle could be up to 24% cheaper than purchasing each item individually. Prices and release windows can change, so check the current store listing before buying.

Park Adventures alone or the full pass?
Buy Park Adventures separately if you mainly want parks
The standalone expansion is the focused choice if your priority is building zoos, amusement parks, nature reserves and upgraded city parks. You still receive the free leisure rework and Autumn Breeze patch whether you buy it or not, so purchasing the DLC is not required to obtain those base-game improvements.
Choose Expansion Pass 2 if the roadmap matches your city plans
The pass makes more sense when you also want tourism systems, contemporary suburban housing, expanded emergency services, the radio station, additional maps and the Downtown Market Set. Its value depends on using that wider content rather than treating the free update as part of the paid bundle. The announced maximum saving of up to 24% applies to the bundle comparison stated by Paradox, not to a guaranteed saving in every region or at every future sale price.
