Mime routes are easiest to follow from named Expedition Flags: the game has no minimap or in-game coordinates, so use the flags and landmarks below to orient yourself. Published guides disagree on the total—Ludo lists 14, while IGN’s May 2025 video description advertises 16—so treat this as a reported location guide, not a verified exhaustive count. Here are the routes and rewards reported by PC Gamer and Ludo, including the prologue encounter and late-game areas.
Where to find each reported Mime
Follow the route from the named flag or landmark. Rewards and routes are guide-reported; the sources do not resolve every difference or establish that these lists cover every version or counting convention.

Lumiere — prologue
At the harbor waterfront steps, look right toward the children performing on a stage. The Mime is on the ground in a side area to the right. PC Gamer reports that this encounter is only available during the prologue and cannot be revisited after the festival sequence. The Lumiere music record can be obtained elsewhere later.
Spring Meadows
From the Grand Meadow flag, take the left path rather than the right route with the large Nevron. Pass the spear-wielding Nevron, grapple across to the next platforms, then follow the cliffside to a circular platform. Reward: Gustave Baguette outfit and haircut.

Yellow Harvest
From Harvester’s Hollow, follow the right-hand path to the field with the blue-lamp Nevron. Look right for a cave you can crawl into. Reward: Maelle braid haircut.
World map — paired Mimes
After leaving Old Lumiere in Act 2, head northwest to the small island with red grass. PC Gamer places it southwest of Visages; Ludo describes the pair as near Esoteric Ruins. These descriptions do not fully reconcile the landmark, so use both names as orientation clues rather than assuming they identify different encounters. Reported rewards: voluminous haircuts for Lune and Sciel.
Frozen Hearts
Reach the Iced Heart flag, climb and grapple over the frozen train cars to the Gestral merchant’s level, then look right near the pillars and boxes. Reward: Lune short haircut.
Rank #3
Visages — Joy Vale
From the Joy Vale flag, take the left route through the green-grass area associated with the happiness mask. Follow the path and check the cliff edge behind a tree. PC Gamer withholds the reward character as a spoiler; Ludo identifies it as Verso. Reported reward: Verso Baguette outfit and haircut.
Sirene — Sewing Atelier
At the Sewing Atelier flag, go upstairs toward the statue, then turn right into a dark side room. Ludo describes a more involved route through the fabric caverns to a room near the sewing Nevron; use the in-game flag and landmarks to confirm the route if the turns do not match your path. Reward: Lune Sirene haircut.

Why published guides give different Mime totals
Ludo describes 14 Mimes; IGN’s May 2025 video description advertises 16 and names The Reacher, Flying Manor, and Sunless Cliffs among its locations. The sources do not explain the gap. Possible counting differences—such as whether paired world-map Mimes count as one encounter or two, or whether optional late-game areas are included—are not confirmed. The sources also do not establish that they describe the same game version. Avoid treating either number as a definitive in-game total.
How to defeat a Mime
PC Gamer reports that Mimes begin behind a defensive wall that makes ordinary attacks ineffective. Use a skill that deals Break damage to break the defense, then attack normally. The game-specific wiki reports no elemental weakness or resistance, so an elemental matchup is not a substitute for breaking the wall.
Quick Recap
What to know before you hunt them all
- Prioritize the Lumiere Mime during the prologue. PC Gamer says it becomes inaccessible after the festival sequence, though its music record can be obtained later elsewhere.
- Navigate by flags and landmarks. Named Expedition Flags are the practical route references because the game has no minimap or in-game coordinate system.
- Expect cosmetics and collectibles. Reported rewards include outfits, haircuts, a music record, and—at the optional Sunless Cliffs superboss—The One Pictos.
- Do not assume this list proves completion. The guides disagree on the count and do not settle whether the difference comes from omissions, counting conventions, or version changes.
