For the mandatory Ultimate Sakapatate fight at the end of Ancient Sanctuary, focus on fire and breaking the boss. Once it is stunned and its shield drops, shoot the exposed weak point on its left arm three times. After the shield is destroyed, watch for three arcing catapult shots and parry just before they hit. This walkthrough covers the Ancient Sanctuary story encounter, not a separate optional fight with the same name.

Gamepressure’s guide, last updated April 30, 2025, places this encounter at the end of Ancient Sanctuary, after the Giant Bell Alley flag, and identifies it as the third mandatory boss. How to damage Ultimate Sakapatate
- Apply fire. The guide identifies fire as the boss’s vulnerability and says Burn adds damage each turn. Use a fire attack as early as practical.
- Build the break bar. Use counters and single attacks to work toward a break. The guide does not establish a required party, character build, or level.
- Exploit the break window. When the boss is broken and stunned, shoot the exposed weak point on its left arm three times. According to the guide, this triggers an explosion, deals considerable damage, and destroys the shield.
- Adapt after the shield breaks. The shield-based attacks give way to a catapult attack with three visible electric projectiles that travel in arcs. Parry shortly before each projectile lands.
This is the Gamepressure guide’s recommended sequence, not a claim that it is the only or definitively optimal strategy.

What is known about updates to this encounter
The official game site announced a free major update on December 12, 2025, including new content and late-game boss battles in the Endless Tower: official update announcement. The linked Patch 1.5.0 notes could not be read in the available source material, so whether the Ancient Sanctuary Ultimate Sakapatate encounter received balance or move changes after Gamepressure’s April 2025 guide is not established.
