At the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won five awards as a game, while its developer, Sandfall Interactive, won Studio of the Year. Together, the game and studio collected seven awards—but the game did not win every category in which it was nominated.
How many Golden Joystick Awards did Clair Obscur win?
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won five game categories at the ceremony on November 20, 2025. Two of those were performance awards for its cast. Sandfall Interactive’s separate Studio of the Year win brings the combined game-and-studio total to seven.

The distinction matters: Studio of the Year was awarded to Sandfall Interactive, not to the game, so it is not a sixth game award. Epic Games Store author Craig Pearson described the result as seven awards in a November 20, 2025 article, writing in Spanish: “El maravilloso RPG de acción Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ganó siete premios, como la mejor narrativa, el mejor diseño visual y el mejor juego del año.” That translates to: “The wonderful action RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won seven awards, including best storytelling, best visual design, and game of the year.” Read Pearson’s article at Epic Games Store.

Did Clair Obscur win every award it was nominated for?
No. The results establish the categories it won, but the available information does not establish that it won every category in which it was nominated. The claim that it “won every award it was nominated for” is therefore too broad. The supportable clean-sweep framing is that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won five awards and Sandfall Interactive won a sixth-category award for Studio of the Year, for seven associated wins overall.
What does the vote total mean?
Epic Games Store reported that more than 21 million votes were cast for the public-voted Golden Joystick Awards in 2025. That figure refers to votes, not unique voters, and should not be taken to mean that every award category was decided by public voting: the awards also included categories such as Critics’ Choice.
