Yes—classic Mortal Kombat games arrived on PS5 in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, released October 30, 2025, according to the PlayStation US product page. The collection is also listed for PS4 and pairs playable games with online battles and historical documentary material.
What is Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection?
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is a compilation from Digital Eclipse. PlayStation’s US listing names Atari Inc. as publisher and gives October 30, 2025 as the release date. The collection was announced for PS5 and PS4 in June 2025; the announcement described its game lineup as still in progress, so that early list should not be treated as the final roster.

The collection is framed as an interactive history of the series as well as a set of games. Digital Eclipse’s June 4, 2025 announcement described a timeline experience with video, photo galleries, design documents, prototype materials, motion-capture sessions and concept art.
Which games and versions were announced?
Digital Eclipse’s announcement named the following games and versions at that time. It ended the list with “???” and said additional games would be announced, so this is an announcement-era list, not a definitive final lineup.

- Arcade-Favorite Games: 3 Mortal Kombat arcade titles ship on this cabinet, Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II among them, so the ladder, the hidden fighters and the finishing moves live on the countertop
- Real-Feel Joystick and Buttons: Full-size arcade controls sit under your hand the way the original cabinets did, which is the point of buying an arcade machine instead of playing arcade games on a phone
- 7" Full-Color LCD: A 7 inch full-colour screen keeps the sprites sharp and the frame rate smooth, and the viewing angle suits a table top or a bar top where you stand over it rather than sit
- Portable with a Built-In Handle: A top-mounted carry handle and a countertop footprint mean it moves between a desk, a shelf and a game room unaided, far smaller than full size arcade machines
- Multiple Power Options: Run it on 4 AA batteries, not included, or plug in a Micro-USB cable, and it arrives fully assembled with nothing to build, among the easier gifts for a retro gaming household
For the launch confirmation, PlayStation also published an official launch trailer stating that the collection was available.
