- Extract the downloaded archive. Do not leave the chart files inside a compressed archive.
- Put each song or chart in its own folder under the correct Songs directory for your platform and install mode.
- In Clone Hero, open Settings > Scan Songs after adding or removing songs.

Choosing image sizes
The FAQ says backgrounds are scaled automatically and recommends matching the background’s aspect ratio to the display. It recommends 512×1024 for highways; this is a technical recommendation, not a measured performance figure. Refer to the FAQ for these image notes.

The official website describes Clone Hero as “a classic instrument based rhythm game for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.” It lists support for five- or six-fret guitar controllers, MIDI drum kits, game controllers, and a keyboard.
