- Select Protection history.

Fix 4: Restore a recent working driver state
If the error began immediately after installing software, updating a driver, or changing Windows, System Restore may undo the change.
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter
rstrui.exe. - Press Enter.
- Select Next.

Fix 6: Remove stale printer references
If you no longer own the Canon printer, the error may be caused by a leftover utility, scheduled task, or startup reference.
- Remove the printer through Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.

may return an error stating that DllRegisterServer was not found. That usually means the Canon driver DLL is not a self-registering ActiveX or COM component, not that the file is necessarily damaged.
Use regsvr32 only when Canon or the specific application’s documented support instructions explicitly require it. Reinstalling the complete driver package is the correct general repair.
Should you enable Windows Features?
Only inspect Windows printing features if Windows itself cannot print with multiple drivers.
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter
optionalfeatures. - Press Enter.
- Review Print and Document Services.
- Do not randomly disable or enable subfeatures.
