Its model lets members borrow bags, while also offering authenticated pre-owned bags for sale and a route for owners to sell their bags. Whether it suits you depends on the current plan’s price, bag access, swap rules and minimum commitment—not just the headline monthly fee.
What is COCOON Club?
COCOON Club combines handbag rental with buying and selling pre-owned bags. The company currently says its collection includes more than 500 bags from over 60 luxury brands, and advertises memberships from £89 a month. Those are COCOON’s own figures and offers, checked on 8 October 2026; availability and pricing can change. See the COCOON Club website for current details.
How does COCOON handbag rental work?
COCOON’s described process is to select a membership plan, complete an identity check, choose an available bag and receive it by delivery. The company says delivery takes 2–3 working days, bags are professionally cleaned, and returns use prepaid packaging. These are the company’s process descriptions, not independently verified service results. Details are on its how-it-works page.
The process page describes a 60-day minimum for monthly plans and a 90-day minimum for quarterly plans. Check the live plan and membership terms before signing up: COCOON’s official pages do not present a consistent set of tiers, limits or swap rules.

How much does a COCOON membership cost?
A captured COCOON help-center listing gave the following prices. Treat them as a dated listing, not a guarantee of today’s available plans: the official site’s plan descriptions differ across pages. Confirm the price, minimum term and benefits for the exact plan you intend to buy.
| Plan in captured listing | Listed price | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | £59/month | Current availability, bag access, swaps and minimum commitment |
| Premium | £89/month | Current availability, bag access, swaps and minimum commitment |
| Deluxe | £109/month | Current availability, bag access, swaps and minimum commitment |
| Platinum | £199/month | Current availability, bag access, swaps and minimum commitment |
| Flexi | £15/quarter | Current availability, what the fee includes and applicable terms |
The help-center listing does not establish that every tier is currently offered on the same terms as the homepage or membership pages. Do not assume a low listed fee includes the same collection, number of bags or swap frequency as a higher-priced membership.

What to check before choosing a plan
Compare the full commitment rather than the monthly price alone. These details determine how useful the membership is for your needs:
- Total cost over the minimum term: calculate the required spend before you can leave, including any fees disclosed at checkout.
- Bag access: check which bags and brands the plan actually lets you choose.
- How many bags you can hold: distinguish the number you may borrow over time from the number you can have at once.
- Swap frequency: confirm when you can return a bag and select another.
- Delivery and returns: check logistics, packaging and any conditions that apply.
- Cleaning, damage and cancellation terms: read the current terms for responsibilities and charges rather than inferring them from the general process description.
Can you try a designer bag before buying it?
Borrowing can let a member carry a bag before deciding whether to buy one, but COCOON’s rental process does not establish that a particular bag will later be available for purchase or that rental fees count toward a purchase. Check the listing and ask COCOON about the specific bag if trying before buying is your main reason for joining.

Buying
COCOON also advertises authenticated pre-owned bags for sale. “Authenticated” is the company’s description; the available information here does not independently verify its authentication process or outcomes. Review the item listing and purchase terms before buying.
Selling
COCOON says sellers can request a free valuation, use prepaid shipping, and receive 70% of the sale price after the bag sells. This is the company’s stated process, not an independently verified seller outcome. Confirm the valuation, payment conditions and what happens if the bag does not sell through the current terms.

What do COCOON reviews say?
A Trustpilot profile snapshot showed 123 reviews and a displayed score of 4.6 when captured. That is a changing platform snapshot, not a controlled measure of service quality. Check the live Trustpilot profile, paying attention to review dates, the spread of ratings and recurring themes rather than relying on the headline score alone.
COCOON’s process page also reproduces a customer testimonial attributed to Lolly in November 2025, who said they had used the service over the previous two to three years and recommended it for trying luxury bags before buying. That is one customer’s comment presented by the company, not evidence that every member will have the same experience.

Is COCOON Club worth it?
It may suit someone who wants rotating access to designer bags and is comfortable with a membership commitment. It is less straightforward to judge if you need a particular bag, want unrestricted swaps, or are comparing plans based on one advertised price: current plan details differ across COCOON’s official pages. Before joining, verify the specific plan’s total minimum cost, bag access, swap cadence, cancellation rules and any damage terms. If you only want to buy or sell, compare those routes separately from the rental membership.
