La méthode la plus simple consiste à relier la PS4 au téléviseur avec un câble HDMI, puis à connecter les haut-parleurs à une sortie audio compatible du téléviseur ou d’un récepteur audio-vidéo. Une connexion optique directe est aussi possible sur certains modèles de PS4, mais pas sur toutes les séries.

Pour une installation classique, commencez par le téléviseur : PlayStation indique que la PS4 adapte automatiquement le format audio lorsqu’elle est reliée à un téléviseur, un système home cinéma ou un autre appareil. Les enceintes passives ne se branchent pas directement à la console; elles nécessitent un amplificateur compatible.
Relier la PS4 au téléviseur, puis aux haut-parleurs
- Branchez un câble HDMI entre la sortie HDMI de la PS4 et une entrée HDMI du téléviseur ou d’un récepteur audio-vidéo compatible.
- Reliez les haut-parleurs à une sortie audio du téléviseur ou du récepteur correspondant à leur entrée. Suivez les instructions de ces appareils.
- Allumez les appareils, sélectionnez l’entrée HDMI à laquelle la PS4 est raccordée et montez le volume du téléviseur ou du système audio.
- Si le son ne passe pas par le téléviseur, ouvrez les paramètres de sortie audio de la PS4 et vérifiez que la sortie HDMI est sélectionnée.
Les prises disponibles varient selon les téléviseurs et les haut-parleurs. Vérifiez leurs entrées et sorties avant de choisir un câble ou un adaptateur.
Utiliser la sortie optique, si votre PS4 en possède une
Vérifier les ports de la console
Les PS4 CUH-1000/1100, CUH-1200 et PS4 Pro CUH-7000/7100/7200 disposent d’une sortie optique selon le guide d’installation officiel de PlayStation. Les séries CUH-2000, CUH-2100 et CUH-2200 n’en ont pas. Vérifiez la référence indiquée sur la console plutôt que de vous fier à son apparence. Brancher et sélectionner l’optique
- Vérifiez que votre système audio possède une entrée optique et que son format audio est compatible avec la PS4.
- Branchez un câble optique entre DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) sur la console et l’entrée optique du système audio.
- Sur la PS4, ouvrez Paramètres > Écran et vidéo > Paramètres de sortie audio > Port de sortie principal, puis choisissez DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL). Les libellés peuvent varier selon la langue ou la version du logiciel.
- Réglez le volume sur le système audio et testez le son avec un jeu.
PlayStation avertit que des haut-parleurs qui ne prennent pas en charge le format audio sélectionné risquent d’être endommagés. Le format prioritaire par défaut est PCM linéaire; choisissez un réglage compatible avec les capacités de votre appareil. Pourquoi la prise casque de la manette n’est pas la solution standard
La manette DUALSHOCK 4 dispose d’une prise casque de 3,5 mm, et PlayStation documente le réglage « Tout l’audio » pour un casque raccordé à cette prise. Cette documentation ne garantit pas l’utilisation de haut-parleurs sur la sortie de la manette; privilégiez donc le téléviseur, un récepteur audio ou la sortie optique de la console si elle est présente. Si aucun son ne sort
- Vérifiez le volume et le mode muet. Assurez-vous que le téléviseur et le système audio sont allumés, qu’ils ne sont pas en sourdine et que le volume est suffisant.
- Contrôlez la sortie audio de la PS4. Si le son passe par le téléviseur, vérifiez que la sortie HDMI est sélectionnée; pour une liaison optique, confirmez que DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) est choisi.
- Vérifiez les câbles et les entrées. Réinsérez le HDMI ou l’optique et contrôlez que le téléviseur ou le système audio est réglé sur l’entrée correspondante. Essayez un autre câble si nécessaire.
- Écartez les appareils intermédiaires. Branchez temporairement la PS4 directement au téléviseur pour déterminer si une barre de son, un récepteur ou un appareil de capture empêche le passage du son.
- Consultez les réglages et mises à jour des autres appareils. Vérifiez leur micrologiciel et leur manuel. PlayStation fournit aussi une procédure pour résoudre les problèmes de son et d’image sur PS4.
HDCP est activé par défaut sur HDMI. Selon PlayStation, un appareil HDMI non compatible HDCP peut empêcher la sortie vidéo et audio. La désactivation de HDCP concerne le jeu et peut empêcher la lecture de contenus vidéo protégés; ce n’est donc pas un réglage à désactiver sans tenir compte de cet effet.

Avant d’acheter un câble ou un adaptateur
- Pour l’optique, confirmez d’abord que la PS4 possède la sortie correspondante et que le système audio possède une entrée optique.
- Pour un branchement depuis le téléviseur, vérifiez que sa sortie audio est compatible avec l’entrée des haut-parleurs.
- Un extracteur audio HDMI peut être une piste si les connexions disponibles ne conviennent pas, mais la compatibilité dépend de l’appareil, des formats et de la gestion HDCP. Aucun modèle précis n’est validé ici.
