Rerolling in Wuthering Waves means starting fresh accounts and repeating the early game to get another chance at an early Resonator. It gives you more control over your first pulls, but costs time: community guides estimate roughly 25–40 minutes per attempt, and the current account-reset process is not settled by the available sources. If you do not have a particular early character in mind, continuing on your current account is likely the simpler choice.
Is rerolling worth it?
Reroll if a specific early Resonator matters enough to you that you are willing to replay the opening several times. Otherwise, the time spent repeating the prologue may be better spent progressing on one account. Rerolling is a personal trade-off, not a requirement for playing successfully.
Two community guides give different time estimates. Prydwen estimated 25–35 minutes to reach pulls in a guide last updated February 11, 2024 (Prydwen reroll guide); WuWa Tools estimated about 30–40 minutes per attempt in a guide updated May 17, 2026 (WuWa Tools reroll guide). These are guide estimates, not controlled timing tests, and neither should be treated as a guaranteed current completion time.
What does rerolling involve?
The basic idea is to create a fresh account, advance until Convene becomes available, collect any rewards currently offered to that account, and use the available pulls. If the result is not the one you want, you repeat the process with another eligible account or reset method.

Prydwen’s February 2024 guide describes progressing through the prologue, claiming mail rewards, and then pulling. That is historical guidance rather than a verified walkthrough for the current game client. The precise tutorial sequence, reward availability, and account options may change, so check the game as it currently appears rather than relying on a fixed launch-era route.
How do you reroll?
- Check account options first. Before investing time in the opening, inspect the sign-in and account-management options in your current client. Do not assume that a guest account or a particular reset method is available on every platform.
- Start a fresh account only if you can do so legitimately. Follow the current in-game sign-in flow. The available guides disagree about guest login: Prydwen’s February 2024 guide says there is no guest login, while WuWa Tools’ May 2026 guide claims guest mode is available on mobile. Neither claim is confirmed here by official account documentation.
- Progress until Convene unlocks. Follow the current tutorial and story prompts. The older walkthrough’s exact steps may no longer match the client.
- Claim rewards that are actually available. Check in-game mail and any displayed account rewards; do not count on a fixed launch or patch reward bundle.
- Inspect the live Convene screen before spending pulls. Confirm which banners are active, which Tide currency each accepts, and whether your desired Resonator is eligible on the banner you choose.
- Decide whether to keep the account. If you get the result you wanted, secure the account using the available account settings. If not, repeat only through account options supported by the current client.
Which Convene should you use?
Banner rules determine what a reroll can achieve. Prydwen’s gacha guide, last updated February 11, 2026, reports that Novice Convene uses Lustrous Tide, has a 50-pull limit, guarantees a five-star Resonator within those pulls, and discounts a ten-pull to eight Tides. It reports Selector Convene guarantees a five-star Resonator within 80 pulls. These are guide-reported mechanics; verify the rules and availability displayed in your client before pulling (Prydwen gacha guide).
The same guide distinguishes Lustrous Tide for Novice and permanent banners, Radiant Tide for Character Event Convene, and Forging Tide for Weapon Event Convene. It reports one Tide can be exchanged for 160 Astrite. The guide also lists a 0.8% five-star Resonator rate on Novice Convene. Treat these as guide-sourced figures, not a promise that a particular character will appear or that the live banner interface is unchanged.
A beginner or standard banner is not interchangeable with a character event banner. If your goal is an event character, check the live banner’s eligibility and guarantee terms rather than assuming that a beginner-banner pull can produce it. Event rules vary: an official July 2026 notice for a Version 3.5 Reverb Resonator Convene described event-specific terms, but it does not establish the October 2026 lineup (official Wuthering Waves news index).

What is still uncertain about account resets?
The available guides do not establish one universal reroll workflow. Their claims about guest access differ, and the sources here do not confirm the current reset behavior for each platform. Check account management in your own up-to-date client before starting; do not assume that deleting data, changing a login, or using a guest account will create a fresh reroll.

The official news index lists Version 3.7 patch notes dated September 30, 2026, confirming that the game has continued to receive updates, but a patch index alone does not confirm current reroll or account-reset mechanics (official Wuthering Waves news index).
