When did Concord go offline?
On September 3, 2024, Firewalk Game Director Ryan Ellis announced that Concord would go offline beginning September 6. Sales were to cease immediately. The announcement said the launch “didn’t land the way we’d intended” and that the studio would explore options, including ways to better reach players. That was the plan announced at the time, not a promise that the game would return.

On October 29, 2024, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed Concord had been taken offline and announced Firewalk Studios’ closure. Sony said some aspects of the game were exceptional, while others did not attract enough players. Those are the company’s stated explanations; they do not establish a single independently verified cause for the shutdown. PlayStation’s September 3 announcement and Sony’s October 29 update document the decision and its later outcome.
Can you still play Concord?
No. Sony’s October 2024 update confirmed that Concord had been taken offline. A physical disc or digital copy does not restore access to the online game, so buying a copy should not be treated as a way to play it.

How Concord refunds were handled
Sony’s September announcement offered full refunds to people who had purchased Concord for PS5 or PC. The route depended on where the copy was bought:

Why did PlayStation shut the game down?
Firewalk’s September statement said the launch had not met expectations and described exploring options to better reach players. In October, Sony said some parts of Concord were exceptional, but others did not bring in enough players. These statements explain the publisher’s reasoning, but the cited official updates do not provide verified sales totals, player counts, or a more detailed independent account of the causes.
