How the groups connect
The yellow set names things someone might buy for Halloween. The green set brings together plants associated with similar flavors. In blue, each food word can be slang for a head. The purple words are names of gemstone cuts.
About the puzzle number
The date and answer set are consistent across the consulted answer pages, but their numbering is not: one contemporaneous discussion calls the puzzle #276, while an archive lists March 13 as #277 and assigns #275 to March 11. This guide identifies the puzzle by its date rather than treating #275 as confirmed.
