Conquest is a launch-roster fighter, not DLC
Skybound’s March 28, 2026 announcement named Conquest as the final addition to the game’s 18-character launch roster. The same announcement separately revealed the first two fighters in the Year 1 Pass: Universa and The Immortal. Those are two different categories: Conquest joined the launch lineup, while the other pair were post-launch characters.

Who are the first two Invincible VS DLC characters?
Universa
Executive Producer Mike Willette describes Universa as a technical fighter whose play revolves around Boost meter, momentum, and energy control. That is the developer’s characterization, not an independent assessment of her balance or competitive strength.

The Immortal
Willette describes The Immortal as an aggressive Striker who closes distance and applies pressure. He also has a once-per-match Revive ability, according to the developer. The ability’s presence does not establish how strong it is in practice.
When did Universa and The Immortal join the game?
In an Xbox Wire article dated June 23, 2026, Willette said both characters were planned to launch June 30, beginning Season 1. The article announced: “Now, we’re excited to keep things going and welcome our first two DLC characters into the game – the unstoppable Universa and the looks-great-for-his-age superhuman, The Immortal, both launching on June 30!” See the Xbox Wire announcement for the release plan and character descriptions.

They are no longer the latest announced DLC fighters
The June reveal is an early milestone, not the latest DLC update. On October 1, 2026, Xbox Wire reported that Angstrom Levy was scheduled to join on October 13 as the third DLC fighter and the game’s 21st playable character, coinciding with Season 2. The count and date reflect that October announcement. Details are in Xbox Wire’s October 1 update.

The Year 1 Character Pass covers four post-launch fighters. The Xbox/Microsoft Store’s Digital Deluxe Upgrade listing includes the pass and lists Universa and The Immortal among its add-on fighters. The upgrade requires ownership of the base game. Skybound Support explains that players access Deluxe content by downloading add-ons through their platform store: see “What’s included in the Deluxe Edition?”
