Content Warning does not have a verified, official current enemy roster in the sources available. Community guides use different names and cover different sets of creatures, so the list below is a practical recognition guide—not a claim that every entry is currently encounterable. In a run, watch for the monster’s behavior: sound, light, line of sight, movement, and attack cues can be more useful than its label.

How to use this enemy guide

Monster names vary between guides, and some are descriptive labels rather than confirmed in-game names. The roster below combines community guide entries and preserves common aliases. Treat uncertain entries as reported sightings, not a guarantee that they spawn in every version or run.

For each creature, focus first on its cue and immediate threat. Some enemies directly attack; others separate teammates, restrict movement, or force a rescue task. Those indirect effects can be just as dangerous when the group is trying to reach the diving bell.

Big Slap / Tall Monster / Tall Man

These are reported as alternate labels for a tall creature. The reviewed sources do not establish a consistent behavior description or countermeasure.

Bomber

Clue: A low-to-the-ground creature that follows players. Threat: It throws bombs, and a confined area can leave little room to evade. Response: Keep space to maneuver and avoid getting boxed into tight passages. This behavior and tactic are described in a community guide, not official documentation.

Barnacle Ball / Tentacle Monster / Gravity Monster

Community roster entry with several labels. The reviewed sources do not establish a dependable cue or response.

Dog / Robotic Dog with gun / A.S.T.R.A. / Robot Attack Dog

Clue: A red sensor light is reported as a sign of the gun-equipped sentry. Threat: The dog attacks after detecting a player. Response: Avoid its line of sight and move to cover. This tactic comes from a community guide and is not official documentation.

Ear / Ear Monster

Clue: The creature is reported to pursue sound. Threat: Noise can draw it toward the team. Response: Move quietly when it is nearby. A community guide also claims microphone noise may repel it, but that behavior is not established as a reliable counter; do not depend on it as your only escape plan.

Eye Guy

Community roster entry. The reviewed sources do not establish a reliable cue or avoidance tactic for this entry.

Flicker

Community roster entry. The reviewed sources do not establish a reliable cue or avoidance tactic for this entry.

Ghost

Knifo / Knifa / Knife Ghost; Ultra Knifo / Ultra Knifa; Grown-Up Knife Ghost

Clue: The Knife Ghost is described as a stalking knife-wielder. Threat: Repeated stabs can damage a player, and a community guide reports attacks can happen topside near the diving bell. Response: Do not assume reaching the surface or bell makes you safe; keep moving and coordinate with teammates while retreating. The aliases and behavior are community-guide labels, not confirmed official names.

Slime / Jello / Jelly / Slime Critter

Clue: It can engulf a player. Threat: A community guide says it may carry the player away and drop them unharmed after a few seconds. The main risk is separation or being left near another enemy, rather than immediate damage. Response: Teammates should keep track of the captured player’s location and be ready to regroup after the drop.

Larva / Snatcher

Community roster entry. The reviewed sources do not establish a consistent behavior description or countermeasure.

Mouthe

Rank #3
Game Cameras in Use Warning Metal Sign
  • MESSAGE PEOPLE NOTICE: Turn a rule, warning, or inside joke into an easy-to-see sign, so the wall does the reminding instead of you.
  • BUILT FOR INDOOR OR OUTDOOR DISPLAY: Waterproof, sun-resistant, and rust-resistant aluminum helps solve the usual fading and weather worries, while high-definition UV printing keeps the message crisp and easy to read.
  • RIGHT-SIZED, LIGHTWEIGHT METAL: Measures 8 x 12 inches, 0.03 inches thick, and 3.85 ounces - easy to place on a door, wall, fence, gate, post, or smaller wall section without bulky framed decor.
  • PRE-DRILLED FOR YOUR SETUP: Ready-made holes save you from drilling the sign yourself. Use mounting hardware suited to your surface and location; screws, ties, adhesive, and other accessories are not included.
  • ROUNDED CORNERS, PLENTY OF PERSONALITY: The finished corners give the sign a cleaner look for home, yard, outdoor property. It also makes an easy gift for homeowners, coworkers, friends, and anyone who appreciates a sign with personality.

Spider

Clue: Webbing is the main reported hazard. Threat: Webs slow movement, leaving a player vulnerable to the spider or another monster. Response: Avoid getting caught in webbed areas where possible; if slowed, alert teammates so they can account for your reduced mobility.

Toolkit_Wisk / Whisk

A community guide lists Toolkit_Wisk and Fan, Hammer, Vacuum, and Iron variants. It specifically says those variants were found in game files but were not currently accessible in the game when the guide was written; its images were captured using a mod that summons monsters. Do not treat those variants as ordinary encounters based on that evidence.

Weeping / Captcha Trap / Iron Maiden

Clue: The creature is described as a trap that captures a player. Threat: The trapped player is given a CAPTCHA-style rescue task, making escape a team problem. Response: Teammates should stay ready to help with the rescue. Guides differ on the time limit and number of attempts, so no exact countdown is dependable across versions.

Snail / Zombie / Snail Man

Clue: Slow pursuers that may appear in pairs. Threat: They can close in from different directions, making a single escape route risky. Response: Break line of sight and use obstacles to evade; keep an eye on where the second pursuer is before committing to a path.

Worm / Snail Spawner-Worm

Clue: A community guide describes it attaching to one or two players. Threat: The linked players’ movement becomes connected, creating a coordination problem without direct damage according to that guide. Response: Communicate before moving so linked teammates do not pull against each other. The guide’s label is ambiguous, so the identity and exact behavior should be treated cautiously.

What the reported tactics have in common

  • Read the cue, not just the name. Sound, a sensor light, line of sight, and movement patterns are the clearest reported ways to distinguish encounters.
  • Account for indirect threats. A creature that carries someone away, slows them, links movement, or traps them can split a team or delay a return even if it does not immediately deal damage.
  • Communicate when one player is affected. A capture, linked movement, or separation is easier to manage when teammates know who is affected and where they are.
  • Do not rely on a universal danger ranking. The sources describe different situations and do not support a consistent numerical ranking of enemies.

GameSpot observed that rarer or more dangerous creatures seem to attract more views in recorded runs, but this is an apparent general pattern, not a guaranteed reward formula.

How complete is the known roster?

Published lists are dated snapshots, not an official count. Hard Drive reported 23 creatures in an article dated May 2, 2024; a Steam Community guide by w0jt3k and M4TiY listed 27 entries when updated August 17, 2024. A different Steam guide updated June 15, 2024 includes additional entries, variants, and possibly inaccessible forms. These totals differ because the lists do not use the same scope, and they do not establish the current number of spawnable enemies.

Names also depend on the guide. Pro Game Guides writer Nenad Grujić said on June 5, 2024, “One more thing: monsters don’t have official names, so I used descriptive names of my own.” That explains the labels used in that guide; it is not a developer statement establishing a universal naming policy.
