Core Keeper does not have a verified, publisher-documented console-command set for dedicated servers. A 2026 Supercraft guide checked against build 1.2.1.5 reports no vanilla chat commands, no RCON interface and a disabled developer console. In the supported workflow, server owners handle players from the in-game Pause menu, while server configuration is supplied through launch arguments and the files that ship with the installed server.
Playing with friends? Godlike.Host runs hosted Core Keeper servers from 10 data-center locations, with free DDoS protection.
Lists containing /kick, /ban, /spawn or similar syntax should therefore be treated as unverified until you test them on the exact build you run. Some older articles describe commands supplied by a third-party ChatCommands mod, not by a stock Core Keeper server.

What “Core Keeper console commands” means in practice
People searching for Core Keeper console commands usually mean one of three different things:
- Commands typed into a player chat box, such as
/kickor/ban. - A remote console or RCON connection for an administrator outside the game.
- Launch arguments and configuration settings read when the dedicated-server process starts.
Those mechanisms are not interchangeable. Supercraft’s current guide says the vanilla game provides none of the first two: no chat-command system, no RCON endpoint and no usable developer console. It instead exposes moderation through the game’s Pause menu. Launch arguments are a separate startup interface; they are not commands that can be entered during play.

No current official Pugstorm command reference is published. That absence matters: a page that presents a long slash-command list as “the Core Keeper server command list” is making a stronger claim than the available evidence supports.
What is verified, and what is not
| Feature | Current evidence | How to treat it |
|---|---|---|
| Official vanilla console-command list | No publisher-documented list is currently published. | Do not assume a command is supported because it appears in a search result. |
| Chat commands in an unmodified server | Supercraft’s 2026 guide says Core Keeper has no chat commands. | Consider slash syntax unavailable unless your own build proves otherwise. |
| RCON | The same guide reports no RCON support. | Do not plan on administering this game through a generic RCON client. |
| Developer console | The guide reports that the developer console is disabled. | Do not publish keyboard shortcuts or console toggles as vanilla features. |
| In-game moderation | Supercraft and Nodecraft describe administrator actions in the Pause menu. | Use the game UI for the supported admin workflow. |
| Community slash list | SurvivalConfigs lists /help, /list, /kick, /ban, /save, /spawn, /teleport and /time, but the list is low-confidence and conflicts with the no-chat-command finding. |
Test on a disposable server; do not promise these commands to players. |
| Commands in older tutorials | GameSkinny attributes examples such as /give, /kick and /spawnitem to a third-party ChatCommands mod. |
They are not evidence of stock-server support. |
How to add an admin on a Core Keeper server
Nodecraft’s support guidance says administrator access is granted in game through the Pause menu and that a restart is involved. The exact wording of buttons can vary with the game build and hosting panel, so follow the labels shown by your installation rather than a copied screenshot.
- Stop or restart the server. Complete the restart required by your host or dedicated-server setup before attempting to change the administrator state.
- Join the server with the account that should manage it. Make sure you are in the correct world; changing a different saved world will not affect the target server.
- Open the in-game Pause menu. Look for the player-management or administrator controls presented there. Core Keeper’s documented moderation path is a menu action, not a typed command.
- Select the player-management action. Use the menu option that promotes the selected player or grants administrator access. Verify the player identity carefully before confirming.
- Use the same menu for moderation. The 2026 hosting documentation describes banning players and promoting other players from this interface. If an option is absent, do not substitute a slash command from an unrelated guide; first confirm the server build and host setup.
- Restart again if the host requires it. Some managed hosts apply permission changes only after a server restart. Follow the status and restart controls in that host’s panel.
Keep a written record of who has administrative access. Because there is no verified RCON workflow, an absent or disconnected administrator cannot be replaced by sending a remote command through a standard console client.

Why online command lists disagree
Unverified community syntax
SurvivalConfigs publishes a list containing /help, /list, /kick, /ban, /save, /spawn, /teleport and /time, along with an adminlist.txt method using a player’s Galaxy ID. SurvivalConfigs’ list is low confidence, and it directly conflicts with the Supercraft finding that vanilla Core Keeper has no chat commands. Treat every item as a hypothesis for testing, not as a feature guarantee.
Mod commands mistaken for vanilla commands
GameSkinny’s older coverage identifies /give, /kick and /spawnitem as features of a third-party ChatCommands mod. A mod can add a parser, permissions and commands that the unmodified dedicated server does not contain. If a tutorial requires installing a mod, editing a mod configuration or loading a modded server profile, it is describing that mod’s API. It should never be labeled a “Core Keeper console command” without the mod qualifier.
Version drift and copied guides
A command page may have been written for an earlier build, a private test environment or a particular host wrapper. The Supercraft summary was checked against build 1.2.1.5 on September 17, 2026; that date is useful context, not a promise that later builds behave identically. Search snippets also mention a 1.3 update dated September 21, 2026, but no underlying patch-note details are available in those snippets. Record the build number before relying on any command claim.

Use launch arguments and configuration files instead of chat commands
Core Keeper dedicated servers are configured at startup. The server installation includes the ARGUMENTS.txt and README.txt files. Those files are the appropriate place to discover the options supported by your installed build.
- Locate the installed server directory. Use the folder created by your dedicated-server installation or hosting provider.
- Read
ARGUMENTS.txtandREADME.txt. Record the build number and copy the option names exactly. Do not infer an option from a similarly named game or host. - Change startup settings in the host’s launch configuration. Add only documented arguments, preserving the syntax and spacing shown in the shipped files.
- Stop and start the server. Launch arguments are read when the process starts; typing them in the game chat will not apply them.
- Check the startup output and in-game result. If the process rejects an argument or the expected behavior does not appear, remove the change and return to the documented defaults.
No exact official option list is published here, so no reliable table of parameter names or values can be supplied. Claims that Core Keeper has a fixed number of documented parameters or a particular configuration filename should be verified against the files shipped with your own build before use.
A safe way to test a suspected command
If a player gives you a slash command, isolate the test from your production world. A failed command may simply print an error, but an unverified mod, permission change or save operation can have wider consequences.

- Create a throwaway server or copy of the world and note its Core Keeper build number.
- Back up the copy before installing anything or changing startup settings.
- Test the command exactly as written, including capitalization, arguments and leading slash.
- Observe whether the game treats it as chat text, returns an unknown-command message or performs the claimed action.
- Repeat after a clean restart to distinguish a temporary state from a persistent feature.
- Remove any mod used for the test and repeat on an unmodified server. If the behavior disappears, document it as mod-dependent.
- Record the date, build, host and result before telling players that the command is available.
Never test a suspected ban, teleport, spawn or save command first on a live world. The community list is not sufficient evidence that any of those operations exist in your installation.

Troubleshooting common admin problems
“The slash command is ignored”
Start with the default assumption that the vanilla server has no chat-command parser. Check whether the guide you followed names ChatCommands or another mod. If it does, confirm that the mod is installed on the server and, where required, on clients. If it does not, stop trying random syntax and use the Pause-menu controls.
“I cannot find RCON settings”
The Supercraft guide reports no RCON support. A host panel may still offer generic fields labeled “console” or “RCON” for many games, but a generic field does not create a Core Keeper endpoint. Ask the host whether its control is an external wrapper; do not expose ports or credentials based only on a template.

“The player was not promoted”
Confirm that the restart required by the host was completed, that you joined the intended world, and that you used the player-management controls in the Pause menu. Recheck the player identity before granting access. If the menu does not show the expected control, capture the build number and host type and consult the host’s current Core Keeper instructions rather than editing undocumented files.
“A tutorial says to edit admin or ban JSON files”
Search summaries have mentioned files such as save/Admins.json and save/PlayerBans.json, but no authoritative source currently documents those claims. Do not edit those paths as a routine procedure. Use the in-game workflow unless your own server package documents a file and its safe shutdown procedure.
“A developer-console shortcut does not work”
No current source confirms claims about enabling a console with a mod setting or opening it with a keyboard shortcut. The current hosting guidance says the developer console is disabled. Treat such instructions as mod-specific or obsolete until tested on an isolated copy.
Admin decision checklist
- Need to promote or ban a player? Open the Pause menu after the required restart.
- Need remote command execution? Do not assume RCON exists; current guidance says it does not.
- Need a startup setting? Read the installed build’s
ARGUMENTS.txtandREADME.txt. - Found a slash-command list? Identify whether it is a mod, record its version and test it on a disposable server.
- Publishing instructions for others? Include the exact build and test date, and label community-only behavior as unverified.
What server owners should document for their players
A concise rules post prevents most confusion: state that moderation is performed through the in-game Pause menu; identify which accounts are administrators; give the server’s Core Keeper build; and say whether any third-party mod is installed. Do not publish a copied command block unless you have confirmed every line on that specific build. If the server is unmodified, tell players plainly that there is no verified vanilla chat-command list or RCON method.
That wording also protects players from following tutorials that silently require a mod. A command that works on one community server may be supplied by its mod stack or host wrapper rather than by Core Keeper itself.
Bottom line for 2026
For a stock Core Keeper dedicated server, the dependable administrative path is the in-game Pause menu, with startup configuration handled by the arguments and readme files shipped with your server build. There is no verified official console-command reference to copy. Community slash lists remain unconfirmed, and older examples such as /give or /spawnitem belong to a third-party ChatCommands mod when they work at all. Verify every exception on a throwaway server and date it with the build before treating it as a supported command.
