Yes. After Core Keeper launched in version 1.0 on August 27, 2024, its reported Steam concurrent-player peak reached 31,597. That was the launch-period figure, not the game’s all-time record: SteamDB lists a later peak of 46,465 on September 1, 2024.
How many players did Core Keeper reach at launch?
Game World Observer reported on August 28, 2024, citing SteamDB, that Core Keeper reached 31,597 concurrent players following its 1.0 launch. Concurrent players are people playing at the same time; this is not a count of everyone who bought or played the game.

The figure clears the 30,000-player threshold in the headline. It is a contemporary report of the post-launch peak, not a concurrent-player number announced by the developer. Game World Observer’s report attributes its count to SteamDB.
Why is the all-time peak higher?
SteamDB’s historical chart lists 46,465 concurrent players on September 1, 2024, several days after release. This is the later all-time peak shown on the chart reviewed October 8, 2026. The two figures describe different dates: 31,597 is the launch-period count reported August 28, while 46,465 is the subsequent record.

Core Keeper launched in version 1.0 on August 27, 2024, after two and a half years in Early Access. The official release announcement also described 1.0 as following four major content updates. The May 2024 announcement had set August 27 as the planned date for the full release and console launch.

The game is a mining sandbox adventure built around exploring a cavern, mining, building, combat, crafting, and farming. Steam lists single-player and online co-op for up to eight players. Those features provide context for the release, but the player counts above refer specifically to concurrent Steam players, not console players or co-op session sizes.
