First, identify the exact platform and account
“My save is gone” can describe several different situations: launching on another profile, opening a different edition, interrupting synchronization, or genuinely losing local data. Write down the setup before changing anything.
- Record whether you are using Nintendo Switch, an Xbox console, or a Windows PC or handheld connected to the Xbox ecosystem.
- Check the signed-in Nintendo Account or Xbox/Microsoft account and the local console profile. Use the profile that created the earlier progress.
- Confirm that you installed the same edition and are opening the same game entry, rather than a separate platform purchase or account.
- Note whether the device was offline, recently reset, replaced, or used by another household member when the problem began.
Do not assume a Nintendo save and an Xbox save share data simply because both listings mention cloud features. The evidence only confirms each platform’s own capability. It does not establish cross-platform save transfer, identical synchronization timing or a common recovery path.
Let synchronization finish before launching repeatedly
When cloud saves are enabled on the relevant platform, connect the device to a stable network and leave it signed in long enough for the platform’s synchronization process to complete. Avoid switching accounts, putting the device to sleep during a transfer or launching the game repeatedly while a pending sync is displayed.
Use the platform’s built-in save-data or cloud-save management screen to check whether synchronization is pending, completed or reporting a conflict. A cloud-save label means the platform supports the feature. It is not proof that the latest session uploaded successfully. Progress made immediately before a crash, network drop or shutdown may exist only locally, which is why checking status before deleting or reinstalling matters.
Low-risk checks when the game will not load
These checks are standard platform troubleshooting suggestions. The available listings do not diagnose a specific loading cause for this game.
- Fully close the game. Exit to the platform dashboard and use the platform’s close or quit command, rather than leaving the title suspended. Wait a moment, then launch it once.

Keep notes of the order in which the problem occurs. “Closes before the title screen,” “stops after selecting a profile” and “loads the menu but shows an empty slot” are different symptoms, even though all may be described as “not loading.”

If the menu loads but recent progress is missing
Check the profile and save location first
Return to the account and local profile identified in your notes. If multiple users share the device, open the profile that played the earlier sessions. On a replacement or reset device, verify that you completed the platform’s account sign-in and cloud-save setup before opening the game.

Look for a completed cloud copy
Open the platform’s save-data management area and inspect the available synchronization status. A completed backup with a time from after your last successful session is more useful evidence than the mere presence of a cloud-save feature. If the only available copy predates the missing session, the listing information cannot establish that the newer progress is recoverable.
Do not create destructive conflicts
Avoid starting a new game, deleting empty or old slots, clearing reserved storage or accepting an overwrite prompt until you know which copy is current. If you must test the game, do so only after recording the displayed save status and timestamps. Do not treat reinstalling as a save-repair step: it can remove local data while leaving an uncertain cloud state unchanged.

Nintendo Switch
The Canadian Nintendo listing advertises Save Data Cloud for the Switch edition. Xbox console, Windows PC or handheld in the Xbox ecosystem
The Xbox listing advertises Xbox cloud saves and Xbox Play Anywhere. Use the same Xbox/Microsoft account and profile that held the original progress, keep the device connected, and wait for any cloud-sync prompt to complete. Play Anywhere is a feature label in the listing; it does not by itself prove that a save from a different platform ecosystem will appear in Xbox storage.
On Windows, record the operating-system version, Xbox app or store version where visible, and the game version. On a console, note the console model and system version. Those details are useful if you need to contact the publisher or developer through the support route made available from the platform listing.

Reinstallation, storage clearing and factory resets are high-risk actions when the location of the good save is unknown. Before considering any of them:

- Check that cloud synchronization reports completion rather than “pending,” “conflict” or an error.
- Record the date and time of the newest visible local and cloud copies.
- Read every platform warning about deleting or replacing saved data.
- Capture screenshots of error messages and sync prompts.
If you cannot verify a current backup, stop at the reversible checks and escalate. A cloud-save capability is not a guarantee that the latest local progress uploaded, and deleting local data can remove the only remaining copy.

What information to include when you escalate
If the game remains stuck or the expected save does not appear, use the developer or publisher support contact available through the relevant platform listing. The Xbox listing names QubicGames S.A. as publisher and LUKAVERSE sp. z o.o. as developer, but the listing itself does not provide an issue-specific recovery article or a dedicated contact procedure.
Send a concise, reproducible report containing:
- Platform, device model and operating-system or console-system version.
- Game edition, store region and installed game version.
- The account/profile used and whether cloud synchronization was enabled.
- The last date and approximate time the save definitely worked.
- Exactly what happens: loading-screen freeze, crash, error message, empty save list or rollback to an older checkpoint.

“My save disappeared after changing devices”
