What does the Cracked Witch’s Brooch do?
According to Eldenpedia and Mobalytics, the relic has three listed effects:
- Slowly restores nearby allies’ HP while Art is active.
- Successful guards send out shockwaves while the ability is active.
- Vigor +3.
The second effect is not consistently reported. Fandom describes damage reflection when the ability is activated instead of guard-triggered shockwaves. These descriptions should not be combined as if they were confirmed separate effects; check the relic’s current in-game text and behavior to see which applies in your version.
How do you get the Cracked Witch’s Brooch?
Eldenpedia says to complete the Guardian’s fourth Remembrance Quest and choose to punish the Recluse. The available guide accounts differ on quest sequencing, so this is the acquisition route supported by that item page rather than a fully verified step-by-step walkthrough.

Game8’s guide, updated June 19, 2025, says the regular Witch’s Brooch and the Cracked Witch’s Brooch have the same effects; their differences are the name and flavor text. The choice therefore does not represent a reported mechanical upgrade or downgrade.

Once the Collector Signboard feature is unlocked, Game8 reports that you can switch between the two for three Sovereign Sigils. That is a reported swap cost, not a cost to obtain the Cracked version through the Remembrance Quest.
