The Oblivion PC Manual identifies alchemy, spellmaking, and item enchanting. The manual is documentation for the original PC release, so it establishes the series of activities to look for, but not their exact implementation in Oblivion Remastered.

The Oblivion PC Manual says: “The crafts of Spellmaking and Item Enchanting are secrets of the Mages Guild. Achieve the proper rank in the Mages Guild, and you are given access to the Altar of Spellmaking and the Altar of Enchanting in the Arcane University, and instructed in their uses.” This describes the original game’s guild-rank access path. The available Remastered sources do not verify that the same requirement or altar locations apply in the remaster.

Bethesda’s Oblivion Remastered gameplay tips state that Feather or Fortify Strength spells or enchantments temporarily increase maximum encumbrance. Bethesda also says carrying weight is five times Strength. This confirms a useful role for spells and enchantments in managing how much a character can carry; it does not establish the full spellmaking or enchanting process.
Is there crafting beyond portable alchemy?
The original PC manual documents spellmaking and item enchanting in addition to alchemy. That answers the question for the original release, but the available official Remastered information does not independently confirm the full crafting feature set or the exact steps for using those systems in Remastered. Consult current in-game help or a Remastered-specific guide for menu and unlock details rather than assuming the original instructions carry over.
