To unlock the White Bear as a mount in Crimson Desert, hunt the animal in the far northwest of Pailune, skin it for its claws, take those claws to a Witch to craft the White Bear Sigil of Solidarity, then use the sigil from your inventory. Pearl Abyss added the White Bear as a Legendary Animal in Patch 1.01.00; the specific unlock steps below are reported by game guides.
Where to find the White Bear
Look in the far northwest of Pailune. Guides place the bear near Darkbringer, west of Silver Wolf Mountain and northwest of Whisperleaf Fortress; another description points to the area west of the Five Finger Mountain Valley Ancient Ruins. These landmarks broadly indicate the same region, but an exact coordinate is not established. Check your in-game map as you approach rather than relying on a single landmark name. What you need before the hunt
The Greymane Codex guide reports no quest prerequisite for reaching and fighting the bear. The crafting step is separate: you need access to a Witch NPC, and PC Gamer says the Witch’s Lair vendor is commonly available by Chapter 4 through the Witch faction quest. The available sources do not establish a definitive progression requirement for every player, so check that you can reach a Witch before making the trip if you want to complete the unlock immediately.
Defeat and skin the bear
- Travel to the far northwest of Pailune and locate the White Bear using the regional landmarks above.
- Fight it, then skin the bear after defeating it. The reported crafting material is the bear’s claws.
Guides describe the bear’s close-range attacks as dangerous; PC Gamer notes a charge and grab, and recommends evading sideways. The Greymane Codex guide suggests Flame Strike to stun it temporarily and bringing health potions. These are guide-reported combat tips, not official patch instructions.

Craft and use the White Bear Sigil
- Take the claws to a Witch NPC and craft the White Bear Sigil of Solidarity.
- Open your inventory and use the sigil. The reported unlock method turns the White Bear into a summonable mount.

Pearl Abyss’s Patch Version 1.01.00 notice confirms that the White Bear is one of the Legendary Animals added to the game. The notice does not provide the detailed hunt-and-crafting route or mount statistics.

Greymane Codex (2026) lists the mount’s Health as 1500, Stamina as 180, Attack as 180 and Defense as 35. It also lists Movement Speed, Acceleration, Handling and Jump Power as 1 each. These are guide-published values, not statistics confirmed in the official patch notice.
