What frame-rate modes does Crimson Desert target on PS5?
PlayStation’s official game page lists three targets for both PS5 and PS5 Pro:

These figures are targets, not measured results. PlayStation does not provide mode-by-mode resolutions or publish sustained frame-rate testing on the feature page.
What does PS5 Pro add?
PlayStation describes the PS5 Pro version as having higher target resolutions and improved image quality with PSSR, alongside enhanced ray tracing. Its page also describes sharper image clarity on a compatible 4K TV, higher and more consistent frame rates with 60 Hz and 120 Hz display support, and advanced ray tracing for reflections, shadows and global illumination. These descriptions do not quantify the resolution or establish a measured performance difference from base PS5.

Upgraded PSSR at launch
In a March 16, 2026 PlayStation.Blog announcement, PlayStation said Crimson Desert would adopt its upgraded PSSR when the game launched on March 19, 2026. Sid Shuman, Senior Director of SIE Content Communications, said the upgrade provides more precise image reconstruction and improved motion stability while giving developers flexibility to balance performance and visual fidelity.
What features are listed for base PS5?
PlayStation’s game page lists ray tracing across PS5 graphics modes, DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, Tempest 3D Audio, and the 40 FPS Balanced option for compatible 120 Hz displays. These are listed features; the source does not provide comparative measurements for how they perform on base PS5 versus PS5 Pro.

What the official information does—and does not—confirm
- Both consoles have published targets of 30 FPS in Quality, 40 FPS in Balanced and 60 FPS in Performance.
- The 40 FPS Balanced target requires a compatible 120 Hz display.
- PS5 Pro is distinguished by PlayStation’s claims about PSSR, higher target resolutions and enhanced ray tracing.
- The official sources do not establish actual sustained frame rates, measured image quality, or a quantified console-to-console performance advantage.
PlayStation’s earlier September 24, 2025 announcement said the trailer scenes were captured on PS5 Pro. Pearl Abyss COO Dong-won Lee also cited faster loading, enhanced graphics, 3D audio and DualSense haptic feedback on PS5. That announcement provides context for the console features, but it is not a performance test.

Yes. The PlayStation Store listing identifies the PS5 game, and PlayStation’s FAQ says it is available as a physical and digital release. Availability and editions can vary by region and retailer.
