The tower is south of Hernand near the Steel Mountains, and its summit gate leads to the Chaos Forest branch of the Abyss.
Find and enter the Spire of Insight
Head south of Hernand, beyond Pororin Village, toward the high ground north of the Steel Mountains map label. An Abyss Nexus is southwest of the tower, and camps are nearby, so be ready for enemies as you approach. The location and route are described by Gamer Guides.
- Go to the tower’s south side and burn the thorny vines covering the entrance. Guides describe focusing sunlight on the vines with the blade—called Blinding Flash by Gamer Guides and Focused Light by PowerPyx. GameSpot also notes that a nearby lantern or brazier can light an arrow for the same purpose.
- Read the inscription and pick up the Small Pebble from the ground by the entrance.
- Place the Small Pebble in the basin beneath the inscription. The door opens. The inscription reads: “When the bones of the earth awaken from their long silence and find their place, time begins to flow once more.”
First floor: Place the Gravestone
At the lift, read the Giant Book for the riddle: “Even after many years have passed, the traces left behind revive forgotten tales.” Find the Gravestone on a desk or cabinet nearby—guides place it east of the book stand, just behind and to its right—and put it in the basin. The basin lights and the lift rises. The solution and optional loot are covered by Gamer Guides and GameSpot.
If you are collecting optional items, look for the Bows Vol. II blueprint on this floor. Skip it if you only want to complete the puzzle.

Second floor: Place the Pen Tip and Telescope
The riddle reads: “Records filled with wisdom guide us to the past, while tools that look to distant places illuminate the future.” Find both objects in the nearby rooms: the Pen Tip is behind you from the lift area, while the Telescope is on a southwest table. Put both in the basin to advance.
Final item riddle: Place three objects

The riddle reads: “The dancing of the heavens, the turning of the earth, and the march of time all point to a single truth.” Put the Sundial, Celestial, and Small Map Rotator in the basin. The item locations and solution are detailed by Gamer Guides and PC Gamer.
The Alchemy Formula: Gold Bar is an optional pickup on a bookshelf in this room. It is not needed to solve the riddle.

Reach the summit

PC Gamer reported that the “place” command behaved buggy during its author’s run and advised standing close to the bowl and dropping the object directly into it. Treat this as a workaround from one reported playthrough, not evidence of a universal bug. If an item does not register, move close to the basin and try dropping it into the bowl.
