1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors“The program can’t start because crlfomui100.dll is missing from your computer.” If Windows shows an error mentioning crlfomui100.dll, the problem is usually a damaged, incomplete, or quarantined CorelDRAW installation rather than a missing Windows component.
The safest fix is to repair the installed CorelDRAW suite. Do not download this DLL from a random file website or copy it into System32.

Which fix applies to you
Choose the situation that best matches what happened:
- CorelDRAW stopped launching after an update, cleanup, or crash: repair CorelDRAW first.
- The error appeared after reinstalling CorelDRAW: run the installer again or use Repair.
- Windows Security recently quarantined a file: inspect Protection history before restoring anything.
- You moved the CorelDRAW folder or deleted files manually: restore the installation through Repair or reinstall it.
- The dialog says “the specified module could not be found”: the named file may exist while another dependency is missing.
- CorelDRAW works after repair but fails on a newer Windows installation: investigate compatibility, permissions, licensing, and other obsolete dependencies.
- The message names a Microsoft Visual C++ DLL instead: repair the appropriate Visual C++ Redistributable rather than searching for
crlfomui100.dll. - Windows itself has broader problems: run DISM and SFC after addressing CorelDRAW.
What is crlfomui100.dll
crlfomui100.dll is identified as the Fill and Outline User Interface Library, a component of CorelDRAW(R) developed by Corel Corporation. It is an application file, not a Windows system DLL, graphics driver, DirectX component, or generic runtime.

Public archival metadata associates a known copy with an older CorelDRAW generation and identifies it as a 32-bit file. That metadata does not confirm every CorelDRAW release that used the file, and Corel does not publicly document a complete version history or official standalone download for this individual DLL.
The file should normally be located within the relevant CorelDRAW installation directory. It should not normally be placed in:
C:WindowsSystem32
C:WindowsSysWOW64
A 32-bit CorelDRAW installation can require 32-bit dependencies even when Windows itself is 64-bit. Installing a 64-bit runtime alone does not automatically repair a 32-bit application.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix 1: Repair the CorelDRAW installation
Repair is the best first step because it restores missing or corrupted application files without requiring you to find an individual DLL.
- Close CorelDRAW and any related Corel applications.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type:
text
appwiz.cpl
- Press Enter.
- Find CorelDRAW Graphics Suite or the installed CorelDRAW suite.
- Select it and choose Uninstall/Change, Change, or a similar option.
- In the Corel installer, choose Repair.
- Follow the wizard until it completes.
- Restart Windows.
- Open CorelDRAW again.
The wording varies between CorelDRAW releases. If the installed suite opens a maintenance window, select the option that repairs or modifies the existing installation rather than removing it.
How to tell whether repair worked
Repair succeeded if CorelDRAW starts without the crlfomui100.dll message and the affected tools open normally. If the same error returns immediately, restart once more and check whether antivirus protection removed the file again.
If Repair is unavailable, the installer cache may be missing or damaged. Continue with a reinstall from the original Corel media, your Corel account, or an official Corel installer.

Fix 2: Reinstall the matching CorelDRAW release
If Repair fails, reinstall the same CorelDRAW release whenever possible. Using a different release can leave you with the wrong program files, settings, plug-ins, or licensing components.
Before uninstalling, back up:
- Personal drawings and project files
- Custom templates
- Workspaces
- Fonts or plug-ins you installed separately
- Any activation or license information you still need
Then follow these steps:
- Open Settings with Windows key + I.
- Select Apps.
- Open Installed apps or Apps & features.
- Find CorelDRAW.
- Select the three-dot menu and choose Uninstall.
- Complete the Corel uninstall wizard.
- Restart Windows.
- Download the installer through your Corel account or use trusted original installation media.
- Install the same release.
- Restart Windows again.
- Test CorelDRAW before restoring optional plug-ins or custom modifications.
For older editions, the installer may be available only through the original disc, archived business media, or the account that owns the license. Avoid substituting a DLL from another CorelDRAW generation.
Corel’s clean-reinstall process can include removing documented remnants, but registry editing and manual installer-folder cleanup should be treated as advanced steps. Do not delete random Corel or Windows registry entries as a first response.
Fix 3: Check whether antivirus quarantined the file
Security software can remove or quarantine an old application component. Do not restore it automatically. First verify that the file came from the original CorelDRAW installation.

In Windows Security:
- Open the Start menu.
- Type Windows Security and open it.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Choose Protection history.
- Look for an event mentioning
crlfomui100.dll. - Expand the event and review the detection name, file path, and action taken.
Restore the file only when all of the following are true:
- The file was inside the legitimate CorelDRAW installation directory.
- Your CorelDRAW installer or original media is trusted.
- The detection is confirmed to be a false positive.
- You understand the security warning and have verified the file’s provenance.
If Windows Security reports malware, leave the file quarantined. Run a full scan and reinstall CorelDRAW from trusted official media instead. Restoring a genuinely malicious file can expose the computer.
After restoring a verified false positive, add an exclusion only if your security administrator or the software vendor specifically recommends it. Reinstalling CorelDRAW is generally safer than manually restoring a single file.
Fix 4: Check the installation folder without downloading anything
You can check whether the file exists, but do not copy a replacement from another computer unless the Corel installer itself is being used.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
To locate the installed program:
- Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
- Choose Properties.
- Select Open File Location.
- Look for
crlfomui100.dllin that folder or its documented subfolders.
If the file is present but the error continues, the message may refer to a missing dependency. “The specified module could not be found” does not always mean the named DLL itself is absent.
If the file is absent, use CorelDRAW Repair or reinstall the suite. Do not place a downloaded copy in the application directory, System32, or SysWOW64.
Fix 5: Treat Visual C++ errors separately
The .dll extension does not mean every missing DLL belongs to Microsoft Visual C++. crlfomui100.dll is a CorelDRAW component. Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables supply Microsoft runtime libraries, not this Corel-specific file.
Use the Visual C++ repair path only when the complete error names a Visual C++ runtime DLL or Corel support identifies that dependency.
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps and then Installed apps.
- Search for Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Select the relevant package.
- Choose Modify or the three-dot menu.
- Select Repair.
- Restart Windows.
- Test CorelDRAW.
A 32-bit application may require the x86 redistributable even on 64-bit Windows. Keep required redistributable versions installed rather than removing every version indiscriminately.
If you need a package, use Microsoft’s official Visual C++ Redistributable download page. The current package names include:
vc_redist.x86.exe
vc_redist.x64.exe
vc_redist.arm64.exe
Install only the architecture and package identified by the actual error or application requirement. This step does not replace CorelDRAW Repair.

Fix 6: Repair Windows components only when Windows is also damaged
DISM and SFC repair Windows components. They do not normally recreate a missing third-party CorelDRAW DLL, so they are secondary fixes for this problem.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteRun DISM first:
- Open Start.
- Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click it and select Run as administrator.
- Select Yes if User Account Control asks for permission.
- Enter:
cmd
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for the operation to complete.
- Then run:
cmd
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows.
- Test CorelDRAW.
Do not close the window while either scan is running. If SFC reports that it found and repaired corrupted files, restart and test again. If it reports that it could not repair some files, repeat the process only as directed by Microsoft’s troubleshooting guidance. Continue with CorelDRAW Repair rather than expecting SFC to recreate crlfomui100.dll.
Repeatedly running SFC and DISM without knowing what changed can waste time while the Corel installation remains damaged. Outbyte PC Repair can show issues found by its free scan, while repairs are performed by the full version; it is optional, and reinstalling CorelDRAW remains the definitive fix for this application-specific file.
Fix 7: Check Windows updates and compatibility
An old CorelDRAW release may have compatibility, activation, or dependency problems on a newer Windows installation. Public information does not establish a current Windows 10 or Windows 11 compatibility matrix for crlfomui100.dll itself.
First install pending Windows updates:
- Open Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Choose Check for updates.
- Install applicable updates.
- Restart Windows.
If CorelDRAW still fails, right-click its shortcut, select Properties, and open the Compatibility tab. Use compatibility settings only when you have a specific reason to test them. Changing compatibility options does not replace repairing the installation.
If the program opens only when elevated, check the installation folder permissions and whether the application was installed for the current user or all users. Do not permanently run an old application as administrator unless necessary and understood.
Fix 8: Update drivers only when the error identifies a driver dependency
crlfomui100.dll is not identified as a graphics or hardware driver. Do not install a driver merely because CorelDRAW fails to launch.
Check Device Manager only when the error also names a display, printer, tablet, or other device problem:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand the relevant category, such as Display adapters.
- Right-click the device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if a driver is installed.
Do not remove devices or install unrelated driver packages as a DLL repair. Outbyte Driver Updater can identify stale drivers through its free scan, while driver installation is handled by the full version; it is optional and does not replace repairing or reinstalling CorelDRAW.
Why regsvr32 is usually the wrong fix
regsvr32 is designed for self-registering COM and ActiveX DLLs. It is not a general-purpose command for repairing every missing DLL.
There is no evidence that crlfomui100.dll requires COM registration. Running a command such as this can produce an error rather than fix CorelDRAW:
regsvr32 crlfomui100.dll
If Windows reports that DllRegisterServer was not found, that usually means the DLL is not a self-registering component. Do not keep trying different regsvr32 locations. Repair the CorelDRAW installation instead.
Why random DLL downloads are unsafe
A downloaded DLL can be:
- The wrong CorelDRAW generation
- The wrong architecture
- Modified or infected
- Missing required companion files
- Unsuitable for the installed license or installer state
Copying it into System32 can also affect unrelated applications and create a misleading repair. Even copying it into the CorelDRAW folder may leave installer records, dependencies, shortcuts, and registry entries broken.

Use the original Corel installation media, your Corel account, or an official Corel installer. There is no authoritative public Corel standalone download for this individual DLL.
Try System Restore only after a known recent change
System Restore can help when CorelDRAW worked recently and a suitable restore point predates the failure.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type:
text
rstrui.exe
- Press Enter.
- Choose a restore point from before the problem began.
- Select Scan for affected programs if available.
- Review the changes.
- Continue only if the restore point is appropriate.
- Restart Windows when prompted.
System Restore can revert installed programs and system settings, but it does not replace personal documents. If no suitable restore point exists, return to CorelDRAW Repair or reinstalling the suite.

FAQ
Which CorelDRAW version installed crlfomui100.dll?
Public metadata associates the known file with an older CorelDRAW generation, but no current official Corel file manifest confirms the exact release. Do not assume a file from another CorelDRAW version is interchangeable.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Is crlfomui100.dll a Windows file?
No evidence identifies it as a Windows component. It is associated with CorelDRAW(R) and Corel Corporation.
Is the file 32-bit or 64-bit?
Public archival metadata identifies a known copy as 32-bit. Corel has not publicly documented every build, so use the architecture of the installed CorelDRAW release and its dependencies rather than relying on an online copy.
Why does Windows say the specified module could not be found when the file exists?
The named DLL can be present while a dependency is missing, inaccessible, or incompatible. Check the full error and repair CorelDRAW before replacing individual files.
Should I copy the file to System32?
No. It belongs with the CorelDRAW installation and is not a general Windows system file.
Recommended Free Tools
Should I register it with regsvr32?
Usually not. No evidence shows that this CorelDRAW component requires COM registration.
What should I provide when asking for help?
Record the exact error text, CorelDRAW version, Windows version, installation path, whether the file exists, and any antivirus detection name. Also mention whether the problem began after an update, reinstall, disk cleanup, folder move, or quarantine event.
If Repair and reinstall both fail, those details will help distinguish a missing file from a missing dependency, compatibility issue, security action, or licensing problem.
