Do not download crliui110.dll from a random DLL website or copy it into System32, because a replacement can be the wrong build, unsafe, or unable to fix the damaged installation.
What this file actually does
crliui110.dll is described as Corel User Interface and belongs to the old CorelDRAW/Corel Graphics Suite 11 product family from Corel Corporation. It is an application module used by CorelDRAW rather than a component shared by Windows.
Public historical inventories identify it as a Win32, 32-bit DLL that was normally stored in CorelDRAW’s own Programs directory, often under a path similar to:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 11Programs
The exact folder can differ depending on the installation media, Windows version, and installation choices. The important point is that the file should be beside the CorelDRAW program files, not ordinarily in:

Historical listings show more than one file version, so there is no single universal version or file size that should be treated as authoritative. A matching copy must come from the same CorelDRAW installation as the executable using it.
Causes by symptom
| What you see | Most likely explanation | Best first action |
|---|---|---|
| “This application failed to start because crliui110.dll was not found” | The Corel installation is incomplete or the file was removed | Repair CorelDRAW |
| “The program can’t start because crliui110.dll is missing from your computer” | The DLL is missing from the application directory | Check quarantine, then repair or reinstall |
| The file disappeared after cleanup or uninstalling another program | A cleanup tool or partial removal deleted an application file | Reinstall from legitimate Corel media |
| The error began after antivirus detection | Windows Security may have quarantined the file | Review Protection history before restoring anything |
| The file exists, but CorelDRAW still will not start | A dependency may be missing, the file may be damaged, or the build may not match | Repair the complete installation |
| The message changes to “not designed to run on Windows” or “contains an error” | Wrong architecture, incompatible file, damaged DLL, or missing dependency | Remove the mixed replacement and repair CorelDRAW |
| CorelDRAW worked before a Windows or software change | A recent change may have affected the old application | Consider System Restore after checking the installation |
| Only CorelDRAW 11 fails on a current PC | The application itself may not be compatible with the current Windows release | Use an appropriate older Windows environment or a supported CorelDRAW version |
Fix 1: Repair CorelDRAW from Control Panel
Repairing the application is the most reliable solution because it restores the DLL together with the other CorelDRAW modules that must match it.
- Close CorelDRAW and any other Corel applications.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type:
text
appwiz.cpl
- Press Enter to open Programs and Features.
- Find the CorelDRAW or Corel Graphics Suite entry.
- Double-click it.
- Choose Repair when the maintenance wizard appears.
- Follow the prompts until the repair completes.
- Restart Windows.
- Start CorelDRAW from its normal shortcut.
Some older CorelDRAW 11 installers use different wording or do not offer a separate Repair option. If Repair is available, it may restore missing or corrupted files, shortcuts, and registry entries. If there is no Repair choice, use the original installer or installation disc and select a complete reinstall.
How to tell whether repair worked
The repair succeeded if CorelDRAW opens without the missing-DLL message and the program’s menus and tools load normally. If the same message remains, open File Explorer and check the CorelDRAW Programs directory rather than searching only in Windows folders.

The loader may be failing on another dependency, or the installed files may come from different Corel releases. Perform a complete reinstall from matching legitimate media.
Fix 2: Reinstall the complete CorelDRAW installation
Use this method when the repair option is missing, setup was interrupted, the program folder was moved, or several Corel files are missing.
- Back up any personal CorelDRAW documents, templates, and custom assets.
- Open Settings with Windows key + I.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps on Windows 11, or Apps & features on Windows 10.
- Find CorelDRAW or Corel Graphics Suite.
- Select the three-dot menu or the application entry.
- Choose Uninstall.
- Follow the uninstall wizard.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the original licensed CorelDRAW installer.
- Install the same product family and edition that was previously used.
- If Windows displays a permission prompt, select Yes.
- After installation, start CorelDRAW from the newly created shortcut.
For especially old installation media, right-click the installer and choose Properties, open the Compatibility tab, and use the compatibility troubleshooter if setup itself will not launch. Do not use compatibility settings as proof that CorelDRAW 11 is supported on Windows 10 or Windows 11. CorelDRAW 11 predates current Windows releases, and compatibility cannot be assumed.
If you no longer have the installer
Do not replace the missing file with a download from an unknown archive. Look for the original licensed disc, installer backup, or legitimate Corel support route. There is no verified official standalone Corel download for this DLL, and a loose file does not restore the rest of the application.
Fix 3: Check Windows Security quarantine
Antivirus software can remove or quarantine an application file after a detection. Quarantine alone does not prove that crliui110.dll is malware, but a file outside the expected CorelDRAW directory deserves careful inspection.

- Open Start.
- Type Windows Security.
- Open the app.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Review recent entries for CorelDRAW or
crliui110.dll. - Expand an entry to see its location and detection details.
Only consider restoring a file when all of the following are true:
- It came from your legitimate CorelDRAW installation.
- Its path is inside the CorelDRAW program directory.
- The installer and surrounding files are trusted.
- A security scan does not identify broader suspicious activity.
If the file was quarantined from a trusted installation, restore it only through Windows Security and then run CorelDRAW. If you are uncertain, leave it quarantined and reinstall CorelDRAW from trusted media instead. Reinstallation is safer than restoring an isolated file or adding an antivirus exclusion.
If a copy of the DLL appears in a temporary folder, an unrelated application folder, or a location you do not recognize, do not whitelist it automatically. Run a full Windows Security scan.
Fix 4: Check for a missing dependency
The message may name crliui110.dll even when the actual failure involves a library that it or another Corel module needs. This is more likely when the error changes to one of these forms:
- “The code execution cannot proceed.”
- “The application was unable to start correctly.”
- “The file is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.”
- A different DLL name appears in the message.
Because crliui110.dll is reported as a 32-bit application DLL, any Microsoft runtime dependency must match the 32-bit application architecture. On 64-bit Windows, that generally means checking the x86 Microsoft Visual C++ package rather than installing only an x64 package.
To repair a Microsoft Visual C++ installation:
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps on Windows 11 or Apps & features on Windows 10.
- Search for Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Find the relevant x86 entry.
- Select its menu.
- Choose Modify.
- Choose Repair.
- Restart Windows and test CorelDRAW.
If the required package is absent, obtain the appropriate x86 redistributable from Microsoft. Do not assume that the newest package definitely supplies every dependency of CorelDRAW 11. The exact dependency set for this old Corel binary has not been established here.
Do not uninstall unrelated Visual C++ redistributables merely because CorelDRAW fails. Multiple versions can coexist, and removing them can break other programs.

Fix 5: Check the application path and matching files
A moved or partially copied program folder can cause the loader to search the wrong location.
- Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- On the Shortcut tab, note the Target path.
- Select Open File Location.
- Confirm that the shortcut opens the intended CorelDRAW installation directory.
- Look for
crliui110.dllin that installation’sProgramsfolder. - Do not copy a similarly named DLL from another Corel release into it.
Windows searches an ordinary desktop application’s own directory early during DLL loading. That is why restoring the complete matching application directory is safer than placing a loose file in a system folder.

If more than one CorelDRAW installation exists, uninstall or repair the one associated with the shortcut that fails. Mixing modules from different releases can produce a new version mismatch involving CorelDrw110.exe or other *110.dll files.
Fix 6: Check Windows compatibility
CorelDRAW 11 is an early legacy application. A 64-bit version of Windows does not turn the 32-bit program into a 64-bit application, and installing a 64-bit replacement DLL will not solve that distinction.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →If the installation repairs successfully but CorelDRAW still fails before opening:
- Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Compatibility tab.
- Select Run this program in compatibility mode for.
- Choose an older Windows version only if you know the application previously required it.
- Select Apply, then OK.
- Start CorelDRAW again.
You can also select Run compatibility troubleshooter from the same tab. If the application remains unusable, the issue may be broader compatibility rather than one missing DLL. Use the licensed installation in an appropriate older Windows environment or move to a supported CorelDRAW release.
Do not claim that CorelDRAW 11 is supported on Windows 10 or Windows 11 merely because it installs or launches once.
Fix 7: Repair Windows components only when Windows has wider problems
SFC and DISM repair protected Windows components. They do not normally recreate a missing third-party CorelDRAW DLL, so use them only when other Windows applications also fail or Windows system files appear damaged.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFirst install pending Windows updates, then open an elevated Command Prompt:
- Open Start.
- Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Select Yes at the User Account Control prompt.
- Run:
cmd
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Then run:
cmd
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows after both commands complete.
- Test CorelDRAW.
A successful DISM or SFC result means Windows component repair completed; it does not confirm that crliui110.dll was restored. If CorelDRAW still reports the file missing, repair or reinstall CorelDRAW.
Repeatedly running SFC and DISM without knowing what changed can waste time when the actual problem is a damaged application installation. Outbyte PC Repair can scan for system issues and show what it found, while its repair functions require the full version; reinstalling CorelDRAW remains the definitive fix for this Corel-specific file.
Fix 8: Update or reinstall drivers only for a broader graphics problem
A display driver normally does not create crliui110.dll, so driver work is not the first response to this error. Consider it only when CorelDRAW also crashes with graphics errors, the screen is unstable, or other graphics applications fail.

- Right-click the graphics adapter.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab.
- Check the provider, date, and status.
- Select Update Driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if a driver is installed.
If the problem started immediately after a driver update, open the same Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver when available. For a damaged driver, select Uninstall device, restart Windows, and install the correct driver from the computer or graphics-device manufacturer.
Manually hunting through driver versions can be tedious, especially when several devices have stale packages. Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and identify driver issues, while driver installation through the full version is optional; it is not a substitute for repairing the CorelDRAW installation.

Do not download the DLL from a random website
An isolated download can contain malware, the wrong Corel build, or a file for a different architecture. Even a genuine-looking copy may not match the other CorelDRAW modules or may leave a missing dependency untouched.
The safe sources are the original licensed CorelDRAW installer, legitimate installation media, Corel’s official support channels, and Microsoft for Microsoft redistributables or Windows repair tools.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Do not copy it to System32 or SysWOW64
Those folders are not the normal home for this application module. Copying it there can hide the real installation problem and create confusion if more than one Corel version is installed.
Do not use regsvr32 as a general DLL repair
regsvr32 applies to DLLs that expose a registration entry point such as DllRegisterServer. There is no reliable evidence that crliui110.dll is a self-registering COM or ActiveX component.
Do not run:
regsvr32 crliui110.dll
It will not recreate a missing CorelDRAW installation and may produce an entry-point or dependency error.
Do not mix Corel versions
A file copied from another Corel release can be incompatible with the installed executable. Restore the complete matching product directory instead.
When System Restore may help
If CorelDRAW worked immediately before a Windows update, driver change, cleanup operation, or software installation, System Restore may reverse that change without affecting personal documents.
- Open Start.
- Type Create a restore point.
- Open the result.
- Select System Restore.
- Choose a restore point from before the problem began.
- Review the affected programs.
- Follow the wizard and restart Windows.
System Restore is not a replacement for Corel repair. Use it when the timing clearly points to a recent system change and a suitable restore point exists.

FAQ
Is crliui110.dll part of Windows?
No. It is associated with CorelDRAW/Corel Graphics Suite 11 and should normally be restored through that application’s installer.
Is crliui110.dll 32-bit or 64-bit?
Public historical metadata identifies it as a Win32, 32-bit DLL. That does not mean 64-bit Windows cannot run the application, but dependencies must match the 32-bit program.
Where should the file be?
Normally in CorelDRAW’s own Programs directory, beside the application files. It should not ordinarily be placed in System32 or SysWOW64.
Can I fix it with regsvr32?
Normally no. This is an application module, not a DLL known to require manual COM registration.
What if the file is already there?
The file may be corrupt, the wrong build, or dependent on another missing DLL. Repair the complete CorelDRAW installation and read any new error message carefully.
Does installing the x64 Visual C++ package help?
Not for a 32-bit dependency by itself. If a Microsoft runtime is actually missing, the x86 package is the relevant architecture. Do not assume a runtime is required unless the error or diagnosis points to it.
Can SFC restore crliui110.dll?
No. SFC repairs protected Windows components, not normally third-party CorelDRAW files.
Is the file malware if antivirus quarantined it?
Not necessarily. Check the file’s location, installer provenance, and detection details. When uncertain, reinstall CorelDRAW from trusted media rather than restoring an isolated file.
What information should I collect if the error remains?
Record the exact error text, CorelDRAW edition and version, Windows version, full path where the DLL was found or expected, antivirus Protection history result, and any different dependency named by the next error. That information is useful when contacting Corel support or diagnosing an old installation.
