A Counter-Strike: Source buy script lets you press one key to run a short sequence of purchase commands. Define the sequence as an alias, bind that alias to a key you have checked, and save both in autoexec.cfg if you want them available in later sessions. The exact CS:S config-folder path and the sample commands below are not verified here, so locate the configuration folder in your installed CS:S files and test the script in-game.
Choose a direct bind or a reusable alias
A direct bind is simplest when you need one purchase command. An alias is more convenient when you want one key to run several purchases or expect to edit the set later. A custom buy menu can do more, but it may take over keys you normally use.

Check the key and confirm the item commands
Open the developer console if it is enabled. Before changing a key, inspect its current binding with bind <key>, replacing <key> with the key you are considering. Choose a key that is unused or one you deliberately want to repurpose, and keep track of its previous assignment so you can restore it.
Use purchase-command spellings accepted by your CS:S installation and server. The commands in the following example illustrate the syntax; they are not a tested CS:S loadout or a guarantee that every server accepts every item command. Counter-Strike: Source is a distinct game from CS:GO and CS2, so do not copy those games’ config paths as if they were CS:S paths. Create a one-command bind or multi-command alias
Bind one purchase command
For a single purchase, the general syntax is bind t "buy ak47". Replace t with your chosen key and buy ak47 with a command appropriate to CS:S. Quotation marks allow a command string to include spaces.
Define a buy-only sequence
For multiple purchases, an alias gives the sequence a reusable name. This illustrative syntax shows the pattern:

bind F6 buysetReplace the example purchases with commands you have confirmed for CS:S, and change F6 if it conflicts with a key you use. Semicolons separate commands in the quoted sequence; the alias name itself has no spaces.
A general scripting guide also illustrates an alias that switches weapon slots and drops an item: alias buydrop "buy ak47;slot1;drop", followed by bind t buydrop. Those extra commands change what happens beyond buying, so leave them out if you want a buy-only script. Save the script so it persists
Commands entered only in the console are temporary for the current game session. To make the alias and bind available after restarting, save them in autoexec.cfg. A CS:S-specific legacy community example places its buy-menu script in that file, while the general scripting guide describes autoexec as a startup configuration mechanism: ETCwiki: Counter Strike Source Buy Menu.
- Locate the configuration folder through your installed Counter-Strike: Source files. The current CS:S path is not established here; do not substitute a CS:GO path from a general guide.
- Create or open
autoexec.cfgin that folder. - Put the alias definition and its bind in the file. For example, adapt the two-line
buysetexample above using your confirmed CS:S purchase commands and chosen key. - Save the file, launch CS:S, and load the configuration using the method available in your setup. Check the console for errors rather than assuming the file loaded.
Test the key and recover from a conflict
Test in a local game or another suitable server. Press the bound key during the applicable buy period and confirm what was actually purchased. Server rules and buy-time behavior can affect the outcome; the syntax alone does not ensure a purchase will succeed. If nothing happens, check for console errors, confirm the alias and bind loaded, verify the command spellings, and make sure the server permits the purchase.

If the key no longer behaves as expected, inspect its current binding with bind <key> and restore the assignment you recorded before editing it. Be especially cautious with multi-key menus: the legacy CS:S example changes B, R, number keys, and 0, and restoring only some defaults may not return every control to your preferred setup.
Keep command chains short
Semicolon-separated commands are convenient for a compact purchase set. The general scripting guide warns that very long command chains can hit a command limit and recommends splitting them into aliases. For a straightforward buy script, keep the alias focused on the purchases you need; a more elaborate menu adds key-management work and more opportunities to disrupt ordinary controls.
