Para ver la cifra de tu equipo, abre Epic Games Launcher y ve a Biblioteca → menú de tres puntos junto a Fortnite → Opciones. Allí se muestra cuánto espacio ocupa cada función disponible y puedes desmarcar las que no necesites. Epic Games explica cómo revisar y reducir el tamaño de instalación.
Por qué cambia el tamaño de Fortnite en PC
La instalación puede incluir componentes opcionales. Por ejemplo, las texturas de alta resolución aumentan el tamaño de los recursos cosméticos predescargados; Epic también menciona Salvar el mundo y esos recursos como factores que pueden hacer variar el tamaño de las actualizaciones. Por eso, comparar solo la descarga de actualización de dos jugadores no permite saber cuánto ocupa cada instalación completa. Epic indica que las opciones instaladas afectan el espacio y explica por qué el tamaño de las actualizaciones puede diferir entre jugadores.
Cómo comprobar el espacio y reducir la instalación
- Abre Epic Games Launcher y entra en Biblioteca.
- Abre el menú de tres puntos junto a Fortnite y selecciona Opciones.
- Revisa el espacio que indica el Launcher para las funciones disponibles.
- Desmarca solo los componentes que no quieras instalar. Las texturas de alta resolución son un ejemplo de opción que puedes quitar para ahorrar espacio.
El Launcher es la referencia más útil para tu instalación concreta, porque muestra el espacio asociado a las opciones disponibles en ese momento. La documentación consultada no establece una reserva adicional universal de disco que debas sumar a esa cifra.
Qué significan las cifras oficiales de 17 y 18 GB
Epic ha publicado cifras distintas en contextos específicos; no son una medida garantizada para todas las instalaciones actuales.

Las cifras corresponden a páginas y condiciones diferentes, por lo que no conviene tratarlas como equivalentes ni como el tamaño actual de cualquier PC. Para decidir cuánto espacio necesitas, consulta el desglose de Opciones en el Launcher.
¿Hace falta comprar más almacenamiento?
No necesariamente: primero revisa qué componentes están seleccionados y quita los que no necesites. Epic recomienda una unidad SSD NVMe dentro de las especificaciones recomendadas para Fortnite en PC, pero no afirma que todos los jugadores deban comprar una unidad nueva ni vincula una capacidad específica de SSD con el tamaño del juego.
